Stroll the ancient streets and discover the ruined castle in the heart of the town. Less than 200 metres from your cottage is the famous walking trail of Offa’s Dyke: pack a picnic and spend the day hiking the tranquil countryside. Ramble along the riverbank for a paddle at The Warren or take to the water on a kayak adventure along the River Wye. Hop in the saddle for a bike ride through the surrounding area, discovering the 12th-century Llanthony Priory (11.5 miles). For keen walkers, the rugged mountain of Pen-y-Fan (25 miles) is a must for magnificent views across the Brecon Beacons.
Step through the gate and cross the front terrace to reach the cottage’s front door. Decorated in neutral shades throughout, your holiday home has a warm and welcoming feel, retaining many period features. Unpack your provisions in the spacious kitchen/diner equipped with everything you need for a home-from-home stay, including a gas hob with electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, slimline dishwasher and washing machine.
