Ideally located on the Devon and Cornwall border this great little retreat has access to fishing lakes and 7 acres to explore - making this a great base for family and friends alike. This wonderful barn conversion is situated with Dartmoor National Park to the east, and Cornwall’s Atlantic coastline to the west. There is so much to do in the area, the nearby town of Launceston is only 3 miles away where you can visit the castle, spend time shopping or try the Steam Railway. The property’s proximity to the Cornish coast is a real draw for visitors, whether they fancy spending lazy days on Bude’s sandy beaches, exploring the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, or treading in the footsteps of the legendary King Arthur in the atmospheric village of Tintagel, all of which are within 22 miles.

Stepping inside this tasteful and contemporary barn, you will find yourself in the heart of this home with a fantastic open plan kitchen/lounge/diner making this perfect for catching up with family and friends. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast or prepare a picnic for a day exploring. The dining area is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or an evening meal. There is comfy seating in the lounge area where you can watch the Smart TV. Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms, a double with an ensuite shower room and a spacious twin, both beautifully furnished with sympathetic interiors. Completing the first floor is a shower room with shower and WC.

Head outside from the living area onto the enclosed terrace with seating to dine Al fresco and a charcoal BBQ. There is also access to seven acres of grounds with two lakes stocked with carp, you are welcome to fish here free of charge and there’s even a paddock with sheep roaming the land. Shared access to the games room/utility area with use of freezers, tumble dryer, football table and darts board.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable had everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Wandering around the area in the morning for the early dog walk and the paddock were great. Highly recommend, Lynsey and Darren very helpful, nothing too much trouble for them.

This property is in a great setting and a great place as a base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. The property we stayed in was spacious and clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
