Property description
Cutting edge and close to the edge, The Cabin scores highly in terms of both location and sophistication.
This seaside chalet is perched high on a Cornish cliff top on the Lizard Peninsula, overlooking Halzephron Cove and the bluest of seas. The South West Coast path goes right past the door, offering fabulous walks in both directions, and it’s minutes down to the beach. Inside, the house is light and white with designer touches, a cool retreat when it’s blazing hot, and cosy and warm when it’s not!
The Cabin is a heavenly escape for walkers, bird watchers, beachcombers and even foodies, since there’s an award-winning gastropub a walk away.
The Cabin was recommended as one of the 'best beach villas in the world' in the February 2010 edition of Conde Nast Traveller.

A well-established herb garden within the grounds of Halzephron House is available to all aspiring cooks.
Helston, Cornwall and the surrounding area
You can stroll onto the Cornish Coastal Footpath from the garden, where there are walks to Porthleven in one direction and Mullion in the other.
It’s also a 15-minute walk to Church Cove beach with its famous St Winalloe Church, and access to Mullion golf course. Non-members may play here if they belong to another club and can present their handicap card.
One of the local beaches is known locally as “Silver Dollar Cove”, as silver dollars are still washed up here following an ancient wreck! The other has golden sands, with rockpools and safe bathing. You may also wish to visit St Ives, a half hour drive across the Cornish peninsula from The Cabin. This is Cornwall’s pretty and very popular artists’ resort, home of the Tate Museum, numerous galleries and various surf shops. One-day surf courses are easily bookable, though there are plenty far closer to the house.
People do surf at Gunwalloe, but Poldhu is the nearest good surfing beach, with a shop hiring boards and wetsuits. Other possible daytrips include the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan (both an hour), Penzance and Truro (half an hour).
