Porth, Cornwall and the surrounding area
Porth is the kind of beach that reminds you of childhood dreams, with soft sand and rock pools galore. Located on the north coast of Cornwall, it has a stream flowing down to the shoreline and even an island with a wooden bridge across to it. Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming, surfing and body boarding. The facilities are excellent – there’s a bistro, café, pub and handy convenience store right next to the beach. Having said this, Porth still exudes a sense of calm and relaxation.
