Property description
Slade Tops is a delightful, split level barn conversion for two, in an idyllic, Peak District National Park location. It has been designed by its award-winning architect owner, Alan Philp, and has a sunny living room, kitchen diner, a four poster bedroom and a bath/shower room. There are exceptional views over the Derbyshire and Staffordshire countryside which you can enjoy from the garden table, bracing walks on the doorstep, and a good pub two miles away.
Slade House Farm is a Grade II listed building and the cottage is similarly listed. One of the highlights of a stay here is the fantastically big, dark night skies which you can enjoy in utter serenity. Heaven for star-gazers!
Location
An idyllic, peaceful location above the Manifold Valley and near the village of Ilam, surrounded by ancient footpaths. Ashbourne and Leek are both a 20 minute drive away. The nearest supermarkets are Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer. Tesco and Sainsbury's can deliver.

Accommodation
This is a superbly relaxing cottage, within Slade House Farm yet detached and completely private. A quarry tiled floor with rugs runs throughout the cottage. The comfortable living room has a high level boarded ceiling and a wood burning stove. It leads down to a fully-fitted dining/kitchen area with hand-built, American cherry wood units, an integrated oven, a fridge and freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The bedroom has a king size four poster bed and a separate bathroom with bath shower attachment and bidet as well as a separate shower cubicle. It's beautifully light, with a high level pine-boarded ceiling
Guests have their own grassy lawn area with teak garden furniture, a parasol and gorgeous countryside views.
