Indulgence Divine is a 16th century town house for two, in the ancient maritime city of Vittoriosa, Malta. Through an injection of colour and sensuous design, the restored house makes for an exciting base from which to explore the archipelago. Small wine bars tucked away in winding lanes, restaurants overlooking the sea, cafes and the marina close by, make Indulgence Divine the definitive romantic escape.
The rooms comprise an ice-white kitchen, a funky dining area with bespoke furniture and an exquisite Murano glass chandelier, a large lounge upstairs, a peaceful roof terrace and an elegant, en suite bedroom. A favourite feature is bound to be the romantic double shower with its curvy glass mosaic walls. Needless to say, the house is equipped with all mod cons.
Location
The house is tucked within the fortified walls of a medieval city as yet untainted by the tourist industry. Vittoriosa is just across the Grand Harbour from the capital city of Valletta (a 15 minute bus journey or a 10 minute water taxi ride). Indulgence Divine is right behind the Inquisitor’s Palace and a stone's throw from the exclusive yachts in the marina.
Airport: The owners will pick you up from the airport.
Accommodation
High ceilings frame large, quirky pieces of furniture and the colourful lavish fabrics that hang on the reclaimed stone walls add to the romance. The bedroom was once the property's private chapel. A French art nouveau bed sits against an exquisite tapestry of Indian soldiers on horseback. Up on the roof, the spacious terrace is a great place to relax with a glass of wine at the end of a day's excursions.
Indulgence Divine is a self-catering house. Guests can either cook-in and dine at the white Carrara marble table, or explore the range of restaurants on the waterfront.

Vittoriosa, The Three Cities and the surrounding area
The friendly village atmosphere of Vittoriosa is noticeable the minute you step out into its streets. You'll find there's always something happening. The proud locals love a celebration, and any excuse is good enough for decorating the streets with colourful banners and candles.
There are some great restaurants and cafes around the Marina and in the heart of the city. Besides the harbour, must-see sights include the Palace of the Inquisitor, the Maritime Museum, the Malta At War museum, set in an old underground air raid shelter, a large flea market on Tuesday mornings, various churches, Auberges of the Knights of St John and Fort St Angelo.
