This property enjoys an attractive location overlooking the surrounding countryside in the Lake District village of Bouth. The well-regarded village pub is within walking distance of the cottage and is perfect for popping out for dinner or relaxing with afternoon drinks. Just a 5-minute walk away, there is a fantastic farm shop and tearoom which is a great place for buying locally produced treats. 4 miles east of the cottage is Lake Windermere, the most-visited and largest of the lakes. There is plenty to see and do both on the lake and on the lakeside, ranging from water sports and boat trips to pretty towns, historic castles and houses, and scenic walks. The village farm has a tea room, homemade dairy ice cream from their own Jersey cows, a gift and interior shop, and they run steam and tractor experience days.
Guests arriving at this cottage cross the sunny patio before making their way through the front door which opens directly into the delightful kitchen/diner. This room, like the rest of the house, has been finished to a high standard with well-maintained original features adding an authentic charm. A dining table sits to one side of the room, whilst guests will easily find everything they need to make themselves at home, with the oven, hob, and microwave in the main kitchen area, and the fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, and washer/dryer situated in the adjoining utility room. Moving through to the lounge, guests will find themselves in a wonderfully cosy room where a wood burner sits in the stone fireplace, surrounded by exposed wooden beams and whitewashed walls. There is a choice of comfortable seating as well as a Smart TV and an iPod dock. The bathroom and bedroom can be found on the first floor of the property, the king-size bedroom providing a sumptuous sanctuary-like space, finished to a high standard with well-chosen elegant furnishings. Just next door to the bedroom, the bathroom is perfect for relaxing in the double-ended free-standing bath, whilst there is also a separate shower and WC.
To the front of the property there is a sunny patio for which garden furniture, making it a great spot for sitting out and enjoying alfresco drinks or meals. There is off-road parking for one car, and there is secure bike storage available.
