An exquisite quaint barn conversion tucked away in the breathtaking Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering a truly tranquil getaway for two in a romantic countryside setting.

This luxury escape sits within a small hamlet, surrounded by stunning countryside and pretty villages boasting quaint cafes, welcoming pubs and walking trails aplenty. Perfectly situated to explore the Howardian Hills and the North York Moors National Park, you can expect breathtaking scenery as far as the eye can see as you uncover this beautiful part of the country. The nearby village of Hovingham (3 miles) is home to a couple of traditional pubs and a wonderful tea room you can visit during your stay. Head 4 miles south to stop by the award-winning lavender farm, home to a deer, a sculpture park and quaint tea room. What's more, you are 17 miles from the medieval city of York and all of its delightful attractions.

 

This romantic cottage ticks all the boxes when it comes to interiors, location and charm; the perfect choice for couples looking to enjoy a stylish countryside escape. Step inside to discover an elegant open-plan living space, home to the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The cosy lounge boasts a stylish wood burner to curl up beside during the colder months, so you can sink into the plush sofa and truly unwind. The compact dining/kitchen area comes fully-equipped with all the amenities you'll require to rustle up and enjoy some home cooking with fresh produce you've picked up from the nearby market towns. Following a day of discovery, retreat to the surprisingly spacious and undeniably romantic bedroom, decorated in a French style to create a plush space to recharge. The bedroom enjoys an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, a perfect start to the day.

 

Outside, you will find a generous garden boasting a lawn and pretty flower beds. During the summer months, throw out a picnic blanket and bask in the Yorkshire sunshine, or sit back and relax on the sun loungers. There's also a mini orchard with plum and apple trees to wander around, as well as a 7ft herb garden of which guests are welcome to dip into when cooking up a storm with local produce. If you're lucky, you might spot some wildlife in the surrounding area. The cottage offers off-road parking.

A beautiful cosy cottage with a wonderful fully enclosed garden which our lab loved playing in. The parking was good and off the road so felt sucure with a five bar gate. Well equipped inside in the kitchen and a very comfortable bed. We couldnt fault it. This is a beautiful area to explore and we found some lovely places to visit. Cottage is very warm and cosy, pretty basic but has everything to make a relaxing break. Although it is on a busy little road, once in the cottage you cannot hear any traffic. The whole area is beautiful, with exceptional views from the cottage.

A very nice cottage,and a lovely garden which we and my dog enjoyed very much. The cottage is cosy ,well equiped and has everything that you would need with the exception of an electric vehicle charging point. If you arrived in an electric vehicle you would find it very difficult to recharge.

The Shed was perfect for the 2 of us and our young spaniel. It has everything that you could ever need. We arrived to a lovely welcome pack including milk in the fridge. We had excellent communication with the owner. The garden is beautiful and such a sun trap! The sun loungers were well used. Loved the area and peaceful loved the fenced in garden I think the cottage had changed ownership as all previous reviews were thrilled about the welcome hamper home made jam and gin but we were very disappointed with not having that also some things do need repairing but we loved the woodland walks and surrounding villages lovely part of Yorkshire Read morewill be back . The shed was a very peaceful , comfortable place to stay in a quiet location with all amenities close by. The wildlife on the doorstep was amazing. Great base for visiting the area with lots to see and do. Would like to go back again.

This cottage is perfect for a quiet peaceful break in an ideal location, we never heard any road noise just the birds singing in the bushes, we had snow one day and the cottage looked lovely, everything was supplied even nuts for the birds and squirrels, the wood burner was an excellent addition, would love to return one day.

The accommodation is bijou but the owners have carefully designed and created within the accommodation something that provides all one's needs quite brilliantly.
