This stylish holiday cottage is the perfect base to immerse yourself in the Yorkshire Dales and is an ideal retreat for enjoying a break away with family or friends with classy touches throughout.

Set on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Kirkby Malzeard with its village pub. This lovely property is perfect for discovering the glorious countryside of the Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Benefiting from some of the most spectacular views in the country, the Yorkshire Dales provide direct access to unfettered natural beauty. Choose one of the many walks nearby or take a short drive to Ripon which has a range of independent shops, pubs and restaurants to relax in and is also home to the historic Ripon Cathedral and Ripon Racecourse. Other local attractions include Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Gardens, and Fountains Abbey, Harrogate and Pateley Bridge.

Set in the grounds of the owner’s home, where privacy is assured, a warm welcome awaits as you enter the property into a utility room with space for coats and boots, with access to a drying room, ideal for wet coats. There is also a freezer and washing machine in the utility room. This leads into a spacious and beautiful open-plan kitchen/diner with large windows. The dining area has a table seating four, a great space to enjoy meals together and plan the next days’ adventure. The spacious well-designed kitchen has plenty of worktop space, and an electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave, the perfect social space to enjoy preparing a meal together. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom and the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find a large lounge with wonderful views through velux windows onto the garden and open countryside. Cosy up in front of the TV and enjoy a favourite film on the Smart TV or why not challenge your fellow guests to a board game. Completing this floor is the large master bedroom with king-size bed.

As you head outside, you will find a private outside space, with garden furniture to relax on in the sunshine or why not dine alfresco when the weather allows. There is ample off-road parking for two cars.

A beautiful & peaceful location with lots of varied places to visit within easy reach. The cottage was clean & comfortable with a pleasant outdoor seating area & ample parking.

Superb little cottage, well kept and with good facilities. Had a very relaxing week break there, the total lack of human noise was wonderful! Highly recommended.

Excellent, clean, quiet, & well equipped cottage. A lovely location. Easy to find. A perfect spot for a much needed family getaway. Great for local walks and shops. About an hours drive to the national park with some breath taking views and walks. The local pub The Galphay Inn is lovely and great food. Recommended to book in advance and dog friendlRead morey. A beautiful and incredibly well equipped cottage. In addition to the washer/dryer, fridge and freezer, there was also a dishwasher. We apreciated the smart TV, board games and BBQ. Beautifully maintained gardens/grounds. Lots to do in the area. The cottage is more spacious than it appears in the pictures, but otherwise they are accurate and it is as described on the website. The pictures do not do justice to the idyllic location, which is very peaceful but close enough to a lovely village with good facilities. Wr really enjoyed our first visit to this cottage, very well maintained lovely location between ripon and pately Bridge, places of interest to visit not too far. I think from the description of the cottage it makes it aware of lounge and 1 bedroom being on the first floor, this may be a problem for any one with mobility issues, or a old dog like usRead more who found the wooden stairs difficult. The property was in a perfect location for our daughter's wedding and Nicci was a very welcoming and flexible host.
