We loved staying at Colquhoune's Byre, it's a very cosy, comfortable and homely wee house. As many reviewers have said, the bed is really, really comfortable and the bedroom is suprisingly spacious. We had a lovely week in the cottage. The weather was wild (it was the amber warning weekend) but the cottage was warm, cosy and comfortable - a perfect place to sit out the storms. The reclining settee was fantastic for relaxing in, and the bed was very comfortable. We liked the open plan of the kitchen to the living area. This is such a cute cottage located on the edge of a cliff giving you amazing views. Within an hour reach of everywhere we wanted to go which was ideal as not too far but close enough we were still away from civilisation. The bed was so comfy, the fire was a massive bonus for us and the kitchen supplied us with everything you need for your stay.

We loved the cottage its location is super isolated and so cosy. The views from the front door are to die for and there is no ambient lighting at night so the clear night sky is stunning. We tried to fit as much in as we could in the week we were there. Kilt Rock is the highlight for us as there was a piper playing. Hide

Nice, comfortable cottage in isolated area. We recommend food stores in Dunvegan and trails and sightseeing on North Eastern part of island (Portree and above). Nest point, Coral beach and Culling were amazing too. Some midgets on these parts, but that os common for Skye in non-windy areas with sweet water.
