This charming stylish lodge is nestled amid beautiful countryside, perfect for a romantic retreat of a family holiday. Close to Dumfries, 7 Stanes, Solway Firth and an array of castles and museums.

Located in lovely rural position on the edge of a small family run lodge park. Dumfries is within easy reach with its great range of leisure and shopping facilities, eateries, pubs, theatres and museums. There is also an array of golf courses and mountain bikers will be delighted with the renowned 7stanes trails. Explore Galloway Forest Park, home to the first Dark Sky Park in Europe. Galloway Activity Centre located by the banks of Loch Ken offers water sports and activities. Visit nearby award-winning wildlife reserves, or enjoy family days out at Dalscone Farm Fun, Mabie Farm Park and Dino Park. Or travel further afield and visit the Laggan Outdoor Activity centre home to the largest zipwire in Europe.

Step inside this charming detached single storey lodge from the fully enclosed decked area, through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy the lovely countryside views or watch a movie on the Smart TV. There are also French doors in the lounge leading out to the fully enclosed decked balcony with seating area. Next is the lovely dining area which is the perfect place to enjoy a meal together with direct access out to the enclosed decked area. Opposite the dining area is the stylish kitchen, ideal for cooking up a storm with built in electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Heading through the hallway you are then met with the shower room with shower and WC. Finally completing the accommodation is the lovely double bedroom with ample storage space and en-suite WC, plus one single bedroom.

Venturing outside to the fully enclosed decked area with balcony and comfortable seating area. Perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing, with lovely countryside views to enjoy. There is off-road private parking available for 2 cars located at the side of the lodge.

Upon entering our holiday lodge, the first thing we noticed was how beautiful the decor and layout was. Then, the outstanding cleanliness of the place. The complimentary small bottles of wine, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and even chocolate bars on our pillows, are such a lovely touch. It had tin foil, greaseproof paper, bin liners, washing up liquid, Read morewashing tablets, iron, ironing board and every household utensil that you would possiby need. The Lodge is set in a quiet site, good views, well equipped, clean and comfortable. A great base for exploring the Borders. Lots of lovely places to visit not far , very scenic countryside.

Nice location, and comfortable lodge with lots to do in the area, there was a terrible smell in the small bedroom so had to keep the door shut for the duration of our stay , saying that the lodge was very comfortable.

The lodge was clean and comfy. The bed was comfy too. Tea and coffee when you arrive, and the wine was a nice touch.

Onsuit toilet to small, beds on the hard side, but other wise perfect for a quiet getaway
