Nice, small comfortable cottage with parking. Location really convenient for getting onto the fells and valleys - no need to use the car! Bar at the Royal Oak nice to have a well earned drink after a long day walking, tea room nearby is great too! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot to get away from it all.

We had a lovely stay at Great Howe - the cottage was just what we needed- comfortable and well-equipped. To be a bit picky, there's a wardrobe but not much drawer space in the bedroom - we just used our suitcases. Borrowdale really is a lovely valley and Rosthwaite is perfectly placed for walks. It's an easy bus ride into Keswick too.

Small but well fitted cottage. Smelt damp on arrival but OK once ventilated. Main issue was traffic fumes in garden which made it impossible to use. A real shame because otherwise an ideal cottage for 2 in a lovely setting.

Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage has a very cosy feel and offers constant peace and quiet. The use of a shared garden was a bonus at the end of the day to sit and relax and enjoy a late afternoon drink. This is our second stay at Kings How and will certainly return again to enjoy yet another stress free holiday.
