Visit the bustling market towns of Castle Douglas (Scotland’s Food Town), 7.5miles, Dalbeattie (7miles) and Kirkcudbright (known as the Artists Town) 11 miles. Explore the Solway Firth boasting 200 miles of beautiful coastline, Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park or enjoy amazing mountain biking tracks including the 7 Stanes. Galloway Activity Centre located on banks of Loch Ken offers a great choice of water sports and activities. For wildlife and bird enthusiasts enjoy a trip to the RSPB Ken Dee Marshes.

Perfect place to relax and unwind looking through the floor to ceiling windows with French doors leading out to the enclosed balcony with private hot tub, enjoying magnificent loch views over beautiful Bengairn Loch. The dining with comfortable seating is perfect for romantic or family gatherings where you can admire the spectacular loch and countryside views. The bespoke stylish kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, Tassimo coffee machine and a handy dishwasher is the ideal spot to cook up a storm. There is a delightful twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a super king-size on request) with French doors leading out to the patio, with beautiful loch and countryside views, Smart TV and a stylish en-suite shower room with WC. Finally completing the accommodation is the beautiful king-size bedroom, also with French door leading out to the hot tub and Patio, Smart TV, wonderful loch and countryside views and stylish en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside onto the large patio area you will find the fantastic private hot tub with magnificent loch views over Bengairn Loch. There is also a seating area with comfortable table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. Or relax in front of the roaring fire pit and enjoy the wonderful loch views, perhaps with a wee dram, some good local ale or a nice glass of wine. There is ample private off-road parking next to the lodge, an electric car charging point and secure bike storage is available.

Both Fiona and robin were great hostes and the cabin was very comfortable and had a fantastic view,we loved the area and will be returning in the future.

The cottages are in an idyllic situation. Unusually both bedrooms benefit from the views, which was wonderful. Clearly much thought was given to the position of the properties because they were were well-spaced, so very private. Fabulous lodge in beautiful position with the most amazing pastoral view. Nothing but nature peace & tranquility which is just what was needed. There is nothing that could be improved on. Robin and Fiona are the best hosts possible. The setting is so tranquil and the lodges are of the highest quality. Definitely recommend! Were going back.

We had a lovely stay at the Lodge. Such a beautiful setting beside the water. The lodge was clean and tidy, and very comfortably furnished. The beds were huge and very comfortable. Our second stay at Bengairn lodges and just as excellent as the first. Lodges are exeptionally clean and well maintained, comfortable and cosy. The location is breathtaking and so calm and peaceful. Hazel Lodge was fabulous! Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and with everything we needed for our stay. Brilliantly designed lodges built to a very high standard; you won't find better than this! The 2 double bedrooms, each with en-suite, are at opposite ends of the lod Wifi works perfectly (faster than at home) and the zip-link bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in (will be buying one if we can). This was our second stay at Bengairn Lodges. It was so perfect last year that we thought it would be hard to beat and came back with our daughter and dog for another family holiday. Beautiful lodges, great location and we feel very well looked after and catered for here. Highly recommend!

This place is a real gem. The pictures really do not do it justice. It is so peaceful. The accommodation is immaculate. The views are fantastic. If you are looking for a total get away. This is it.
