Single-storey lodge situated on a small leisure complex in the rural parish of Highampton in mid-Devon, within easy reach of some top South West visitor attractions.

This property enjoys a Mid Devon location, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and is just 15 miles from the stunning Dartmoor and 40 miles away from Exmoor National Park, offering miles of scenic walking routes for all abilities. Venture further afield to the west of the property, which will take you to the popular Cornish seaside town of Bude (18 miles), with its choice of beaches and family-friendly facilities, including a tidal pool, mini golf, and an array of restaurants and cafes. For an altogether different seaside experience, take a visit to the private Devonshire village of Clovelly (20 miles), providing visitors with a taste of Devon in years gone by, with its heritage museum, walled garden, traffic-free streets, and craft workshops, as well as the working harbour and small beach, making it an idyllic place for a daytrip. Great for families is nearby Archery Arms Of Old. Their facilities offer both undercover and outdoor ranges, and they offer training and archery lessons. Also not far away is Garlands Horse Trekking and Riding Centre, for those that wish to book and experience horse riding. Onsite is a gate that leads straight on to the Ruby Trail. The rural beauty and tranquillity of Ruby Country makes it an ideal place to explore on foot. There are many possible routes to follow through breathe taking scenery, with ever changing wildlife, the fresh air and walks will be certain to please your four legged friends too! And after a day of exploring why not book your self into the nearby Gotland Gin HQ outside bar, to sample some of their unique Gin made onsite on their small holding, very popular with the locals and you will find it stocked in many local pubs in the area.

Approaching the property up 10 steps and across the private decked patio brings you directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its comfy seating, dining table, chairs and Smart TV/DVD. The kitchen area is equipped with everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite dishes, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is no washing machine in the property itself, but there is an on-site shared laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, should they be required. The two bedrooms are also located on the same floor as the living space, the first of which is a restful double room, the other being a comfortable room with twin zip and link beds that can be made up as a super king on request. Completing this property is the shower room with WC.

Outside, there is a private, enclosed decked patio with garden furniture, whilst those who wish to enjoy a BBQ can do so at the shared BBQ area which is situated next to the on-site fishing lake, and there is a children’s play area for younger guests.

lovely place, all clean and tidy, nice and modern. Would recommend to anyone. Nice to have a swimming pool for those wet days!

Property is well equipped and the extra of the pond and pool is lovely. The property is cosy and offers a good base to travel around Devon, and north Cornwall.

Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable. Had a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Fantastic location for touring the sights of both Devon and Cornwall. Had a wonderful week and the weather was lovely. The swimming pool was an added bonus!

The cottage was perfect for our family holiday (with 2 boys aged 7&9 and a dog). The boys had the pool to their selves and loved fishing in the lake every day. The accommodation is compact, but as were werent in much it suited us. If you are looking for a quiet, rural location this is perfect.

We had an amazing stay at Bliss Cottage, a great location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. We loved the pool and play area for our boys (9 & 5) and exploring the Ruby Way from the bottom of the property. Will definitely return. Thank you so much Bev & Paul for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.
