Romantic getaway located in the heart of this friendly town on the River Coquet. A perfect base for a couple to explore, walk, cycle or relax close to Northumberland National Park, a prime spot for stargazing.

This beautifully presented apartment is located in the centre of the popular market town of Rothbury with friendly cafes, pubs, restaurants, and a range of independent shops and galleries within 1 mile. Cross the road to access the Coquet River riverside for a romantic stroll with a picnic. You can visit the magnificent Cragside House and Gardens (1.5 miles) for a lovely day out and see amazing views of the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland coastline from the top of the Simonside Hills (6 miles). Drive to nearby Alnwick (12 miles) for market day, shops and restaurants, the fantastic Castle and famous Alnwick Gardens, and the sandy beach at Alnmouth (17 miles) is perfect for a barefoot walk and paddle.

This apartment for two has the feel of a welcoming cottage as you step through into the bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, and a washer/dryer; you can enjoy meals sitting together at the dining table. The lounge features a stone fireplace with an electric wood burner-style heater for cosy nights in. Snuggle up on the comfortable sofa to watch a movie on Smart TV or relax in the chair with a good book. At bedtime, head through to the pretty bedroom decorated in tranquil colours and enjoy a good night’s sleep in the king-size bed. The stylish en-suite shower room has a walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, there is a shared off-road parking area for the whole building with space for up to two cars (subject to availability), plus there is free on-street parking in front of the property and across the road (subject to availability). There is a secure, private indoor bike storage area.

This cottage was very clean, well equipped with everything you would need in a kitchen. It was not far from a shop or public house.

Lovely apartment. Very clean and had all the kitchen equipment that we needed. Comfy bed and lovely bathroom/shower. Great location near the river for walks and a couple of minutes away from the locals shops. Close to Cragside and Simonside and the coast for visits. We appreciated the blanket and towels for our dog. We would definitely stay again.

Nice well equipped little apartment. Very good position, not a long drive to anywhere in Northumberland. Slightly let down by an uncomfortable sofa and a small temperamental tv. Would stay again if those two things were sorted out.

A lovely holiday let in a really nice village. Nice pubs in the village and a great Italian restaurant. Plenty of places to visit. I would recommend it to anyone.

A lovely apartment, just the right size for two people and one small dog. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped. It made our visit to the beautiful countryside of Northumbria complete.

Lovely property location, easy to find and right by the river. Well equipped and facilities are lovely - especially the shower after a long old day of walking! The only down side is the comfort in the lounge area, sofas are beautiful but not necessarily for relaxing. My partner and I stayed at this beautifully presented apartment in the pretty village of Rothbury. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, a home from home. Absolutely stunning apartment. There was everything we need for our 3 nights stay. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into catering for every need. Would highly recommend.
