Tucked away within the owner’s grounds and attached to the owner’s residence, this romantic bolthole for two is in the heart of the Cornish Countryside. Positioned less than 3 miles from the small seaside resort of Portreath, you’ll be within easy reach of its sandy beach, narrow harbour and amenities including pubs, shop and cafes. For walkers, there is direct access from here to the coastal path taking you through the different local habitats and the stone ruins of old wheelhouses. Hire a bike and cycle the ‘mining trails’ close to Portreath's various woods or along the Coast to Coast trail to Devoran (8.5 miles). Take a drive along the picturesque coast and visit Godrevy Lighthouse (10 miles), Hayle (10 miles) and the popular fishing harbour town of St Ives (17 miles).

Step inside to the light and welcoming lounge/diner, and laze on one of the comfortable sofas whilst watching the Smart TV with the wood burner crackling in the background. Enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table behind one of the sofas, and have a more casual lunch at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. Said kitchen is up five steps and is fully equipped with all you need to prepare a quick snack or a satisfying culinary delight. The tastefully furnished king bedroom has a homely feel and there’s a beautifully contemporary en-suite shower room.

Head outside from the kitchen to a private and enclosed walled garden area, perfect for a relaxing breakfast in the morning sunshine or an al fresco dinner with the BBQ on the go. There's also bistro seating at the front of the cottage overlooking mature landscaped gardens. In addition, you'll find a shared enclosed garden with an extensive lawn where your dogs can run free! Great holiday cottage. We used as a break between Xmas and New year. The owners are friendly and helpful, the property is very dog friendly, with an an enclosed garden, ideal for our golden retriever. Located around Central Cornwall, easy to visit any location. What a lovely, snug apartment to stay in this is. Conveniently situated just outside Redruth facing cross country views. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Not only is Redruth nearby, but many other great places to visit too. Ian also had plenty of suggestions for us to try. We had a great time at Vale cottage,and will be back. We were so happy that we stayed,everything was perfect,and we had such a relaxing time. The cottage has everything needed. We had both of our staffies with us,so the garden was perfect for late night wees,and is completely private. Our dogs had great fun shouting at the owners dog through the woRead moreoden door between the two properties, before the humans raced to tell them to be quiet. The accommodation was clean & tidy & served as a good base. It was too far & too dangerous to walk to the beach from the property, same applied for the local pub - plenty of places to go though within a few miles if you are happy to drive everywhere Lovely touch with the cream tea & dog treats/necessities The cost was not justifiable but nothing iRead mores these days! This property is an absolute gem! Ideal for two people and a dog, every little home comfort had been thought about in advance by the owners.
