The cottage offers easy access to the popular Monsal Trail, 2 miles away at Millers Dale station car park - a traffic free route for walkers and cyclist (hire at Blackwell Mill and Hassop Station) through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales. It runs for 8.5 miles between Blackwell Mill in Chee Dale and Coombs Road, Bakewell. The Pennine Bridleway and Limestone Way are also nearby. The spa town of Buxton is within 3.5 miles with amenities for shopping and eating out or visit the stunning Buxton Opera House. Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens offer beautiful parkland, boating lake, miniature railway, soft play area, and an indoor botanical garden with retail area. The market town of Bakewell, famous for Bakewell pudding and Chatsworth House are a ‘must see’ situated within a 12 miles radius. Tideswell, the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’, is 2 miles away, where shops and pubs can be found within this delightful village.

The kitchen is well-equipped for family dining with everything you need to rustle up a meal during your stay, alongside a breakfast table and seating where guests can use the wall-mounted TV or choose from a selection of books. To the left of the kitchen, you will find a pretty twin bedroom with countryside views and a nearby utility room. To the right of the kitchen, you will find a downstairs bathroom room, and a master bedroom with everything you need for a restful night's sleep. Take the five stone steps up into the spacious lounge/diner which is flooded with light from the multiple windows that provide views of the garden and mature trees. Relax on the comfy sofas in front of the TV, light the wood burner, or spend quality time with good company around the dining table.
The rear garden is fully enclosed with comfortable outdoor seating and dining table with chairs and a charcoal BBQ lined with an impressive ancient estate stone wall, overlooking a wildflower meadow. The potting shed is unusual in that its a conservatory. The main area is spacious and unique in its seventies vibe. The kitchen is really well equipped and a great place to hang out with the amazing views.

Lovely cottage, comfortable. Wood burner gave off excellent heat, living room very spacious. Not far from Tideswell and the Monsal trail. Lots of other walks but only had a short time there and weather wasnt kind.

We had a fantastic stay. Lovely location. Access and parking was a bit of an issue to the potting shed (but we do have a van, ). Lovely walks from the doorstep. For anyone who swims, there is a reservoir about 10 mins away, combs reservoir. Cottage has everything you need, garden a little smaller than expected but secure.
