Within an easy drive are the splendid Chatsworth House (8.5 miles), Haddon Hall (7.5 miles), and Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles). You can also take advantage of the excellent walking routes around the Derwent Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Take the external steps down from the parking area to the cottage entrance, store coats and boots in the porch and wander through to the traditional country cottage kitchen with characterful exposed beams. Get cosy in the lounge with comfortable seating and a warming gas fire the perfect place to curl up with good company after a day hiking the hills. Head up the steep steps to the first floor where you will find a double bedroom with views over the garden and mature trees and nearby bathroom offering the choice of a bath or shower.
Outside the cottage is surrounded by a mature garden where guests have access to raised patio with seating to make the most of the wonderful views.
