This romantic and rustic retreat for two is surrounded by nature and nestled in gorgeous countryside. Connect back with nature in the peaceful, private grounds and enjoy the sound of bird songs whilst enjoying the outside bath. The perfect base for exploring the best that Derbyshire and Staffordshire have to offer, there are the dramatic Staffordshire moorlands surrounding you, yet you are just 3 miles outside of the Peak District. Why not walk to the local shop, offering great local produce and a good selection of daily fresh food, or stop by at the local pub. Peak Wildlife Park is just 2 miles away and you can also go for a day’s paddle boarding or explore the local canals. This is the perfect base for exploring Alton Towers, which is just over 7 miles away and you are just 12 miles away from the well-known Tissington Trail.

The property itself is set back in the private gardens and land of what was old farmland, now beautifully laid out gardens, with private bench seating, fields and wildlife all welcoming you to your accommodation. Walking into the main living area, there is a kitchen, equipped with all you need, that looks out on the countryside behind, and the large king-size bed offers extra padding so that it can be used as a day bed. There is a smart TV, games and books provided, and a lovely wood burner to enjoy those cosy evenings in. The extending table offers plenty of space for your meals and underfloor heating spoils you in the bathroom, which has a walk-in shower and a lovely rustic basin.

Outside you have a number of different areas to enjoy and a BBQ and fire pit. There are reclining lounge chairs for you to relax on and enjoy the view at the front of the property. A wooden love seat looks out at the back field and is set against the stone wall. There is a wonderful outside bath, where you can relax in the ambience of a perfect evening under starlight. You are welcome to enjoy the grounds, and there is a small number of livestock that enjoy the space with you. A dog is welcome, but must be kept on a lead when outside due to the livestock.
