This wonderful well-presented spacious cottage is nestled in a private estate known for its scenic beauty and tranquillity. The nearby village of Tighnabruaich (9 miles) with its villas, Victorian pier, palm trees and glorious views of the Kyles of Bute is worth a visit. The village also has a bustling main street with an art gallery, shops and cafés. This area is known as Argyll’s Secret Coast and has some lovely marked coastal and forest walks from your doorstep. Enjoy a day trip to Benmore Gardens (23 miles), a magnificent woodland garden near Dunoon, or the Isle of Bute, which can be reached by a short ferry ride. Explore the island's attractions, including Mount Stuart (29 miles), a spectacular Gothic mansion and gardens, or stroll along the beautiful sandy beaches. Portavadie Marina is 9 miles away and offers spa and leisure facilities.

On entering this beautiful cottage, step into the kitchen, which is fully equipped to cook up a storm. Follow the hall through to the delightful and welcoming lounge/diner, with a window seat to admire the beautiful view towards the loch, an ideal space to relax in. The lounge features a traditional wood burner and Smart TV. Set the table and enjoy a romantic meal whilst planning your next adventures. Continuing back through the hall, you will find a family bathroom and a light and bright super-king-size bedroom. Every room has views overlooking the beautiful countryside.

Step outside to the enclosed garden, mostly laid to grass with a pretty outdoor dining area that has been positioned looking out towards the water so you can watch the boats bobbing along against the mountain backdrop. As the Otter Estate extends to around 1,800 acres, there is plenty to explore for walkers and hill climbers amongst the rolling, forested landscape, and there is lots of wildlife to spot along the way.

Helpful site manager, responded immediately to any requests. Clean & tidy, with fully enclosed garden. Warm with plenty of hot water. Hand held shower over bath which is a bit of a drawback. Well maintained, with new kitchen. Netflix and fast broadband!

This is a lovely setting and nice clean cottage. I would definitely stay again. Something to be mindful of is that this is very remote in the winter months due the nearby hotel being closed until Easter and the next nearest pub 4 miles away only opening at weekends.

As the property is very rural we were delighted that the hotel nearby (as stated in the property description) would be an option for meals / drinks etc as it was so close by. I did check the hotel website as our holiday got nearer and found that they had closed for winter. Had this been highlighted we would not of booked the property. Very rural, oRead moreutstanding views. Clean, comfortable king size bed. Bathroom could do with an update to provide a full size shower. Hide
