Property code: 93517

Studded into the Tregonhawke cliffs, this stunning traditional timber chalet hideaway offers high-end inside/outside luxury living with breathtaking, uninterrupted vistas across the sea to the renown Eddystone Lighthouse in the distance and the horizon beyond. You can choose to stay “at home” to unwind from the outside world, relax and just enjoy the ambience and spectacular views, or take the nearby steps down to the almost deserted beaches. These RNLI-monitored beaches are ideal for swimmers, surfers and also walkers as the coastline stretches for miles (subject to tides). Dogs are welcome. Or explore the coast path to Port Wrinkle (4.5 miles) and Looe to the West or Cawsand/Kingsand (2.5 miles), Rame Head (2.5 miles) and Mount Edgecombe Country Park (4.7 miles) to the East. This quiet area of Cornwall is known as the ‘Forgotten Corner’, yet boasts numerous options for a truly relaxing holiday whatever your activity inclination. Be sure to visit the Clifftop Cafe, 500 metres away, for a hearty breakfast or cream tea.

This charming coastal chalet has been designed to make a seamless connection between the inside and out, come rain or shine, whatever the time of year. Two sets of bifold doors cross the length of the open plan living/dining area, making a flexible “all weather” space. Open the doors to the front “dining” deck with bistro table set and electric BBQ and wicker sofa to the side or sit inside in comfort out of any breeze. Or close the doors and watch the weather go by. A picture window connects the bedroom to the views and a stable door to the side deck, with pergola, sun blinds and a raised eating area to catch the evening sun to the West. Stylish and tasteful décor inside, including Barbara Hepworth prints, maritime finds, and quirky Cornish treasures. Lounge on the comfy sofa or leather armchair, put your feet up, read a book or watch a good movie and light-up the log-effect gas fire to stay warm and cosy while sipping a glass or two. The fully equipped kitchen to the rear is perfect for whipping up a delicious meal to be eaten in, at the Conran designed dining table, or outside, either is an ideal spot for a romantic dinner. The mesmerising bedroom is located off the lounge, showcasing a king-size bed and sophisticated furnishings. It’s perfect for indulging in a lazy morning lie-in or enjoying a delectable breakfast in bed, taking in the sea views. A modern bathroom with shower over bath (double ended for ultimate relaxation) and WC completes this luxury retreat.

Outside, take breakfast in the morning sun on the front deck looking out to sea, drink morning coffee on the wicker sofa looking to the East to Rame Head, later relax on the loungers under the side pergola or, to indulge in the ultimate romantic experience, convert the loungers to a full-size bed. Choices for al fresco dining under the stars – on the raised picnic table to the side or the bistro table to the front. Either way, enjoy a meal with your loved one while surrounded by beautiful scenery and spectacular views. Any of these are the perfect setting to sip your favourite tipple. Alternatively, plan exciting afternoon adventures from the comfort of the plush chairs on the deck. It is a 500-metre walk from the car park to the chalet down a sloping tarmac track, which is steep in places, the last 10 metres are gravel. There are 10 steps up to the chalet. This property is not suitable for guests with restricted or limited mobility.

Lovely cosy chalet, perfect size for 2. Thoughtfully laid out + equipped with some really nice extra touches (e.g. bottle of bubbly, coffee beans). Use of space both inside and outside is very clever. Even on the 2 cloudy days we had it was great to have the doors open onto the balcony with the 180deg view or the sea and coast. Everything was just Read moreperfect for us. Can't recommend this place highly enough! Only note, if you are unfit or have mobility problems then probably not the place for you! Hide
