Meander around the market towns Barnard Castle (10 miles) and Richmond (8 miles), both steeped in history, castle ruins and farmers markets.
Head up the drive towards the impressive grand palladium arch where the recently renovated cottage sits just behind. Park your car beside the cottage and walk up the path into this charming stone-fronted cottage. Step into the welcoming country-style kitchen/diner. This space has been created so that you can admire the garden, cook up a storm in the kitchen whilst remain sociable with the rest of the group in the adjoining lounge. The generously equipped kitchen has integrated appliances including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Once you have prepared a delicious family meal, enjoy dining at the table overlooking the garden. Retire to the lounge and settle on the sofas, watch a movie on the Smart TV or begin to map out exciting adventures for the next few days. There are two beautifully furnished bedrooms, the master king-size bedroom which boasts high ceilings and has a gorgeous en-suite bathroom featuring a freestanding bath, shower and WC. The second bedroom is a twin zip-and-link room (which can be made up as a super-king-size upon request), this room is served by the shower room opposite with a shower and WC.
Heading outside, you can bask in the sun whilst dining alfresco with a picnic on the lawn during the summer months or catch a breath of fresh air on a crisp winter's morning as you sip on a warm cup of tea. Be sure to bring along your walking boots, as this lovely home sits on 119 acres of parkland, so you can take an evening walk with your four-legged friend. There is off-road parking for two cars.
