Book a romantic getaway for two at this one-storey restored barn 3 miles from the pretty village of St Merryn, in North Cornwall. This traditional stone cottage is in a rural spot surrounded by gorgeous countryside that you explore on foot or horseback. St Merryn is excellent for doing a bit of shopping and eating out, as is the perhaps more well-known Padstow (5 miles). This is known as the Seven Bays area because you can access seven beautiful beaches and bays nearby. The Carnewas at Bedruthan coast walk (5 miles) is a great way to get acquainted with the coastline, offering views over the beach and impressive sea stacks.

This accommodation has a warm, cosy feel to it, with wooden furniture and decorative touches dotted throughout. You’ll enter into an open-plan living area with a kitchen, dining table and chairs plus a sofa area with a TV for relaxing. A separate utility room houses a freezer and tumble dryer. The bedroom and shower room are located on the same floor, making this property ideal if you require a more accessible property.

Outside the property, there’s a garden as well as a shared outside play area kitted out with badminton, skittles, basketball, football and other open-air games equipment.

A wonderful well equipped cottage for 2 + dog. Well equipped as good as any self catering we have experienced. Nice rural location but close enough for the wonderful beaches and towns such as Padstow. The owners are very nice right adjacent to the cottage. This will become a repeat destination for us.

Had a wonderful sunny week in a lovely, very comfortable cottage with all amenities, very quiet location but within a short drive to what we consider some of the best beaches in Cornwall. Also within a reasonable drive to any Cornish landmark - St. Michael's Mount, the Lizard, Tintagel etc. etc. and, for us, National Trust properties.

Cottage is very cosy and in a quiet location. The kitchen is very well equipped. It rained heavily for 2 days so we spent them in the cottage, reading, relaxing & drinking tea. The mattress is the best we have slept on whilst on holiday, firm and comfortable. The owners are lovely and friendly. Would definitely like to return in the future.

Had a great stay at Wren Cottage! The cottage was very spacious, cozy and in a peaceful location, with everything you could possibly need! The cottage also had a good sized enclosed outside seating area which was great for our dog Stanley. Lovely cottage will definitely be returning!

Great location of property, very quiet area. Lovely hosts, and other guests that you rarely bump into friendly. You must be used to Cornish roads as the lane can be daunting at first. Very close to Padstow and other amenities. St Merryn whilst might appear on a small cross roads, has everything you need in a small space. Proximity to dog friendRead morely beaches is great. Our favourite is Harlyn. Hide

Property clean and comfortable and had everything you would want. Very quiet and Paul and Caroline on hand should you need anything but otherwise very unintrusive. This is in a working farm so there are narrow lanes to navigate to the village from the property and back again.
