A spacious ground floor apartment close to the bustling fishing village of Appledore, with views across the estuary. A great base for exploring the beautiful scenery of the North Devon coast.

The village of Appledore offers a bustling quayside which is a hive of activity when the boats come ashore and families enjoying crabbing. You can stroll the narrow streets, duck in and out of the small shops, cafes, and restaurants, and get an insight into Appledore’s history at the maritime museum. Across the river is Instow with a delightful sandy beach, which can be reached in the car or via the short passenger ferry trip from Appledore quay. (Summertime only) The nearby beach at Westward Ho! is also a short drive from the apartment and is popular with surfers, swimmers and families. For those keen for an adventure, the Exmoor & Dartmoor National Park are close by and offer wonderful walks with plenty of history. The traffic-free Tarka Trail offers a cycle/walking route which can take you to nearby Barnstaple or Torrington.

Enter this lovely ground floor apartment which offers everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Walk through into the large lounge/diner enjoys a southerly aspect with a large bay window with cushioned window seat gives views across the pretty estuary and surrounding countryside. The dining area offers space for everyone to sit down and enjoy an evening meal together and the comfy sofa invites you to relax in the evenings and watch all your favourite programmes in front of the TV. In the kitchen, you will find all the things you need to cook up a storm with the electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge with freezer section and washing machine. The two bedrooms are light and airy and consist of a twin room and a large double bedroom. Lastly, you will find the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC and boasting beautiful stained-glass windows.

Outside of the property, there is a communal seating area. There is also use of the outside shed which is great for storing bikes. There is parking for one car subject to availability, with additional roadside parking nearby.

Spotless and cosy with a lovely view of the estuary, it was a beautiful little 'home away from home" in a fantastic location! We loved being able walk 2 minutes down the hill to have a coffee, pick up a takeaway, go to the pub or catch a ferry over to Instow, and are already thinking about when we can return. Loved it!

Nadine was easy to contact and quick to respond /talk to about the property. There were coffee treats left out for us as well as bottle of water and cans in the fridge Lovely comfortable apartment, we liked the style of decor, and so relaxing as soon as we returned from our outings and walks. Bed was comfy and enough storage for clothes. We would highly recommend 2 Gables, Nadine was lovely to speak to and when we entered the property it was so clean and well equipped. The only thing I would advise to anyone is book 2 weeks not one as it is such a lovely place. Thank you, we all had an amazing time.

Great location & really helpful owner. The apartment needs a little updating but it seems like changes are being made. Appledore is a lovely village with lots of nice places to eat & the views from the apartment were wonderful.

This is a very well equipped spacious cottage situated in picturesque village of Appledore. Ideally positioned in a quiet area and yet close enough to walk to the local pubs, restaurants and shops and only a short car journey into Westward Ho.

Lovely apartment with fabulous views in a good part of the town. The hill to the property from the promenade is quite a climb for people with walking difficulties.

Lovely apartment with great views of the estuary. Equipped with everything you could need. Short walk to restaurants and pubs. The Seagate was good. Ideal for touring, we went to RHS Rosemoor, Broomhill Sculpture Gardens, Bude, Ilfracombe, Barnstaple and Saunton Sands to name a few. There's a Morrisons a short ride away and the Atlantic Village outRead morelet centre. Also lots of places for kids. Friendly, helpful owner. Enjoyed the stay. Hide
