This apartment is accessed via a private drive within a private estate surrounded by woodland, with views towards the Langdale ranges. Perfect for exploring all that is on offer on your doorstep.

An ideal place for relaxing for those wanting a peaceful and relaxing holiday, with many walks to enjoy direct from the doorstep, yet it makes an ideal base for touring the Lake District. Located at Skelwith Bridge just a mile from the picturesque village of Langdale and Chapel Stile, with its stone-faced cottages, a local cafe, shop and pub. Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness are a short drive away from the apartment, where you can experience a boat trip on Lake Windermere. Nearby Rydal Mount at Grasmere is a perfect place to learn about William Wordsworth and walk around the nearby Dora’s field famous for the poem Daffodils.

Enter the ground-floor apartment into a spacious hallway, here you can access the bathroom with shower over spa bath, and WC, where you can soak after a great day out on the hills. You lead onto the welcoming light and airy lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is spacious with large sofa, TV, DVD, Xbox, DAB radio and doors leading onto a patio area which overlooks the tarn, the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and enjoy your meals in the dining area which comfortably seats two, and is centrally positioned between the lounge and kitchen. The bedrooms are accessed from the hallway where you will find the cosy double bedroom which benefits from doors leading out to the patio.

Outside there is a patio area with a table and chairs, offering stunning views over the pond area and the mountains beyond. There is allocated parking for one car.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Would definitely go back again. The lodge had everything you could want like a home from home. It was great waking up every morning with all the wildlife. Deers grazing right outside red squirrels running around. Also it was quite close to the local village just a 2 mile drive into the quaint village of Ambleside.

The apartment was fairly comfortable and very clean. The owners were very helpful with directions - can be difficult to find in the dark. The apartment has amazing views and is ideally situated to access the Lakes. It was warm and fairly well equipped, but the sofa can be uncomfortable if resting for a long time. The bed would also benefit from a bRead moreigger quilt and the bedroom from greater ventilation. Overall a really pleasant place to use as a base when staying in the Lakes Hide
