Loved it! Lovely welcome by owners with cake and fizz waiting for us. Storm Ciara didnt stop us and provided us with some exhilarating walks! The cottage was very cosy with the log burner used to full effect and central heating. The nearby pub was great and welcoming in Castleton (5 min walk). Will definitely be back.

A comfortable cottage on the edge of a friendly village. The cottage was well fitted out and had all you needed for a comfortable stay. The log burner was the main draw for us and the fact its dog friendly, with a great closed in garden. There is a terrace with a great view, seating and BBQ. Cosy cottage for two in a good location with very good views and garden with decking, which is enclosed making it safe for a dog. Very friendly locals with excellent local pub and tea room both of which were dog friendly. Very welcoming proprietor.

The cottage is a small but perfectly designed space for two people ( and a dog), with the added benefit of outside space to enjoy the country views. The location of the cottage on a quiet lane off the main road means it is very peaceful, whilst being in the village means the shop and the pub are within a 3 minute walk.
