Set within Dartmoor National Park and nestled within a beautiful hidden valley, this property offers peace, relaxation and the perfect base to explore the moors and south coast.

Although the cottage will feel like it is in a different world, a pub (serving food) is just a ten minute walk away with a large selection of shops, restaurants and cafes in Bovey Tracey. The forest, surrounding the property, is a haven for wildlife and offers a range of walks straight from your front door. Tottiford, Trenchford and Kennick reservoirs are all within walking distance or a short drive away with National Trust properties nearby. Easy access onto Dartmoor highlights such as Haytor, Houndtor and Widdecombe-on-the-Moor. Visit beautiful coastal locations such as Teignmouth, Shaldon, Torquay and Dartmouth. The cathedral city of Exeter is just a 30 minute drive away or why not take a scenic railway journey there from Newton Abbot train station.

This charming ground floor apartment which forms part of the main farmhouse, offers open plan living space and a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC. Enjoy wildlife, observing birds feeding just outside your window. Wi-fi is available and the cottage has a 32-inch Freeview TV and DVD Player. If you choose to stay in and cater for yourselves, the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge with small freezer compartment and a microwave.

Outside your cottage is a small private seating terrace along with large gardens to explore with additional seating areas (with BBQ) right by the stream. The games barn (new for 2019) has bi-fold doors which can be fully opened in good weather and a large wood-burning stove for the cooler evenings. If you bring dogs with you there is a dedicated fenced paddock area they can enjoy.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Ideal location for a quiet getaway, and really appreciated the cream tea. Any walks will involve hills, but with some fantastic views.

A lovely quiet place with wildlife around. We loved the birds visiting the bird feeders outside our window. It was well placed for the places that we wanted to visit.

Lovely cottage, perfect for two for a quiet getaway. Owners Sarah and Kenneth were very friendly and welcoming, cream tea on arrival and pastries for breakfast !! Very dog friendly, our terrier loved it, and great walks around. We had a really enjoyable week in this property which is in a very beautiful setting. We were made very welcome and looked after very well. The bird feeders provided a lot so entertainment and all you could hear at the property was bird song. I'm sure we will return.

The was a lovely holiday cottage, Kenneth & Sarah we're lovely, welcoming and helpful. The surrounding were beautiful and quiet. When we went the bluebells were in bloom. I sat outside for breakfast it was so peaceful. Whether you just want to spend all day relaxing there or wanted to visit local areas then it was just perfect. We had a wonderful relaxing break at Bluebells Cottage. Kenneth and Sarah made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and the home made scones were delicious. The accommodation was cosy and there was an extra heater if we needed it. Hosts Ken and Sarah welcomed us with scones and a cream tea on arrival, and even helped us navigate our way home through the snow-covered lanes. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life to just relax and be entertained daily by squirrels and the many birds that visited the feeders outside our cottage, this place is perfect.

Nice meeting Sara! She made us feel very welcome with scones and first aide products (milk, butter, rolls, preserves,...), no fuss but everything very well organised. Good bed, good shower, bird songs all over the place... Every evening after intensive walking and visiting Dartmoor region, we were happy to come home.

Bluebells is set in a beautiful secluded location abundant with wildlife with very welcoming friendly new owners . The property is ideal for couples wanting to explore Dartmoor , Exeter and the south Devon coast . When it came to packing to leave , we just wanted to stay . Will definitely be back .
