Situated right on the church square, next to the famous Inveraray Jail Exhibition and the stunning Loch Fyne. Great for exploring the West Coast, Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Picturesque town on the western shores of Loch Fyne, the longest sea loch, home to dolphins, otters and seals, and the occasional basking shark in the summer months. There are plenty of places to eat and drink or enjoy the delightful boutiques, and a trip to Scotland wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a Whisky Distillery. The drive along the loch towards the town is an experience of its own with picture postcard views of the Bell Tower, towering above the town. The views are breath-taking and a visit to Inveraray Castle is a must. Steeped in history there is much to see and do with walking routes and natural beauty in every direction. The seaside town of Oban is within easy reach with its leisure and shopping facilities or take a ferry trip and visit the islands.

This wonderful cottage dates back to 1819 and is entered to the front, directly in front of Inveraray Jail attraction. The lounge/diner boasts a fabulous wood burner and TV, the perfect spot to relax after a long day, and dining area to enjoy family meals together. Heading through to the well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a utility cupboard housing the washing machine. The bathroom, with shower over bath and WC, is at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the first floor with the two bedrooms. The master bedroom is a double with views and is separated from the twin bedroom by a Jack and Jill bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Known as a gateway to the Highlands, the picturesque town of Inverary perches on the banks of Loch Fyne where you may be fortunate enough to spot dolphins, otters, seals and the occasional basking shark. Inverary dates back to 1745 and is renowned for its Georgian architecture, with local highlights including the bell tower and the jail which now houses a fascinating and exciting museum, and there are plenty of great shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes to sample. The magnificent 18th century Inverary Castle is set in extensive grounds and is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll. From the watchtower on the hill of Dun na Cuaiche (1.5 miles) you can admire stunning panoramic views of this breathtaking region. Among other local attractions are Ardkinglas Woodland Garden (10 miles), Crarae Garden (10.5 miles) and Kilchurn Castle (15 miles). The immense Loch Lomond and The Trossochs National Park (20 miles) lies to the east and is a fantastic area for Munro bagging, wildlife spotting and a range of outdoor activities. Heading north you can visit the popular seaside town of Oban (37 miles) which offers a variety of leisure and shopping facilities. You can also take ferry trips out to visit some of the spellbinding islands off the west coast.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and immaculate, and is perfectly located next to the George Hotel for drinks or dinner. The cottage is a great size for a family of four, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts are very helpful and friendly too - would definitely recommend a visit!
