Idyllic thatched cottage tucked away in the picturesque village of East Chaldon in Dorset. Perfect for a family getaway or a couples’ retreat, you’ll be bowled over by this unique little cottage.

Walking into the property, you will be amazed at just how contemporary the inside of this cottage is. Modern and bright throughout, this little cottage has been sympathetically renovated into a stunning getaway ideal for families and couples alike. Hidden away in a small village in the county of Dorset, this little gem is only 4 miles from Lulworth and 8 miles from Dorchester.

The initial hall has space for you to keep your coats and boots, perfect for after country walks. Walk into the spacious sitting room, where you can kick back and relax on the comfy sofas and watch TV. Walking through the arch you’ll find the garden room with French doors, leading into the garden. If you love to cook, the spacious country kitchen has ample space for any chef with all the facilities you need for any homemade meal, including; cooker, microwave fridge and butler sink. There’s even a dishwasher and utility room, as nobody likes doing dishes on holiday! Come bedtime, there’s a short trip up the winding staircase to the two bedrooms: one double and one twin. One bedroom with 5’ double bed with a TV and one twin room with two 2’6” beds. Both rooms have reduced height in eaves. The upstairs bathroom has a WC and a shower over the bath.

Outside, the rear garden is south facing with a seating area on the terrace and a lawn that is accessible from two steps. The front garden also has a lawn and sitting area, so you can fully enjoy the sun.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Our family had a beautiful holiday and have made so many fond memories and we just can't wait to come back! In a great location, driving distance to everything. Lovely waking up in the morning to the sound of the farm!! only note is to make sure you read the instructions you're given as to where to find the cottage, do NOT follow the sat nav! but oRead morence you find it, you're good and you'll never want to leave!! Nice cottage. Stairs and low doorways could be a problem for some. Good location for travelling around the Dorset coast. Walking distance of great dog friendly pub.

A beautiful cottage, well equipped, great quiet location. An outstanding large enclosed garden, an amazing space for dogs. It should be noted that the 1.5 mile walk from the cottage to the coastal path is obviously hilly and quite hard going. Also it took us quite a while to find the cottage as the directions were inadequate.
