Situated just on the edge of the River Tamar, this spectacular retreat has it all, peace and tranquillity, a private indoor heated pool, an array of fun filled days out for all the family nearby and many local amenities within a short car journey. The World Heritage stannery town of Tavistock is within easy reach and offers a historic pannier market, boutique shops and plenty of cafes. Head south to Plymouth which offers an array of amenities. There are plenty of great walks and cycle rides to be had in the area or visit family attractions nearby including Pennywell Farm, Southwest Segway, Woodlands family theme park and The Dartmoor Mystery Treasure Trail. The National Trust property Buckland Abbey is also a short drive from the property and well worth a visit, or head further afield to Plymouth Gin or Sharpham Vineyard for something a little different.

On entering this remarkable single-storey property you are greeted by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is the perfect back drop for catching up whilst cooking up a storm in the kitchen area. The kitchen area offers an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and a dishwasher. The fabulous lounge area allows you to sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and watch your favourite programme on the TV or just enjoy a chat. After a long day, head down the hall where you will find the two beautifully dressed bedrooms. There is a double bedroom with en-suite wet-room style shower and WC and a spacious twin bedroom a zip and link (which can be made up as a super king-size on request), which has an en-suite bathroom with hand held shower over bath and WC.

Outside you have the choice of two spaces to enjoy, at the front of the property is a private South facing decked area with garden furniture and the rear garden which has a lawn area with patio and seating. A charcoal BBQ is also on offer for you to enjoy on a summers evening. The indoor heated pool is located 50 yards from the property, this area also includes the massage room, summer kitchen, WC and a shower. There is also hard standing space available for boats and a public slipway located a short drive from the property with access to Plymouth Sound.

Beautiful cottage and grounds. Quiet secluded location to enjoy a chilled break. Loved the pool and apple trees. Wonderful morning walks in nature and stunning views. Stuart was friendly and helpful along with Gunter the dog. Would highly recommend

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous peaceful grounds with wonderful views. We enjoyed the ptanque and swing with the best view! Really centrally positioned to explore Devon and Cornwall. We had a great time.

Excellent property. Very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings/decor. Owners friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The cottage was amazing, so clean and with everything you needed for your stay. The pool was a great way to cool down after a day out and about. Had an amazing stay at Camellia Cottage - everything we could want for a relaxing holiday. House was beautiful inside and fabulous garden and grounds around it to wander in and relax. We spent an enjoyable week in this very comfortable property. We made good use of the swimming pool and the boules pitch and explored the local area. For plant enthusiasts we recommend a visit to the Garden House.

A delightful, well appointed cottage in glorious surroundings. We had a super week. Our grandchildren were in the pool everyday, and challenged us to ptanque every evening too. We had busy days out and would recommend Dartmoor Zoo! A walk down to Weir Quay is also worth doing.

We had an amazing one week at Camellia Cottage! It is spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay . We had the pool all to ourselves for the whole week which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. A nice peaceful place with stunning views.

As self catering novices we feel strongly that this property and owners set the bar very high. An extremely peaceful setting with picturesque views. The cottage was spotless and all our needs provided for. The exclusive use of the swimming pool added to the enjoyment. Be prepared for the single track lanes but entirely worth the effort.

The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Positioned with fantastic views of the Tamar River and countryside. The pool area was well equipped including kitchenette, toilets and showers. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and we would definitely go back.

An idyllic retreat in beautiful very spacious surroundings, in a setting with complete peace and quiet. We had another excellent stay, Stuart and Beryl were welcoming and helpful hosts. Enjoyed the pool every day, went cycling (warning; it's hilly) around the peninsula twice. Remarkably quiet and peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The tennis court five mins away at Bere Ferrers was also useful. The camellias were still out and quite impressive.
