Just a few miles from the coast, and located in the charming and picturesque village of Sedgeford, this romantic getaway makes a fantastic rural retreat in the heart of the Norfolk countryside.

The delightful village of Sedgeford is ideally situated for enjoying the north-western corner of Norfolk, and is located just four miles from some of the loveliest beaches of the Norfolk coast. Set in the stunning Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Sedgeford is perfect for visiting nature reserves including The Wash National Nature Reserve, Blakeney Point, Pensthorpe Natural Park and RSPB Titchwell. The ancient Roman road, Peddars Way, runs through the village, leading onto the beautiful Norfolk Coastal Path. Houghton Hall and the Queen’s residence at Sandringham are nearby, or you could visit charming villages and market towns including Dersingham, Snettisham, Burnham Market, King’s Lynn, Hunstanton and Fakenham, home of the Fakenham Racecourse.

On entering this comfortable detached converted barn, which neighbours the owner's home, you will find yourself in the light, inviting and tastefully furnished open-plan lounge/diner. Retaining original features, including exposed beams and feature arched windows, this bright and spacious room is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a lovely day, with plenty of comfy seating, TV/DVD and a wood burner effect electric fire. You will also find a delightful dining area with seating for four guests. A few steps up from the lounge is the stylishly designed kitchen. Featuring a flagstone floor this attractive room is fully equipped with an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and stereo. There is also a small breakfast table for two. There is also a ground-floor shower room complete with WC. Going up a short flight of stairs you will find a cosy double bedroom set on a mezzanine floor.

Stepping outside, there is an area where you can sit and enjoy a drink in the evenings on the terrace. The main garden to the owner's house is private, but the property is secure to let dogs out if the gate to the road is closed. Off-road parking is available for one car.

 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Property was very spacious and well equipped. The property owner was very friendly and helpful. All in all a fabulous retreat for our short break.

Very unusual property with lovely features and high beamed ceiling. Great location and welcoming host.
