This cosy and traditional cottage is located in the heart of the harbour village of Charlestown. Charlestown was built between 1790 and 1810 to help build up the industry of exporting copper and clay, so it is rich in industrial history. The famous tall ships can be seen here, while the village has also appeared in several films and TV programmes. St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall, is just a few miles away, with a larger selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall, with attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan just a short drive away.

This property retains many of its original features, which include exposed beams and wooden floors. On the ground floor is the lounge, kitchen and dining area, which is all open plan, opening up the space on this level. The cosy lounge area features a Smart TV with Netflix and Catch Up and a wood burner effect electric fire, while the kitchen features a new cooker with induction hob and double oven, coffee machine, fridge with freezer box and a washer/dryer. Up on the first floor, accessed by a steep, open-tread staircase, is the double bedroom, with further character added by the sloping ceiling. The bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with a WC. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, electric and electric heating are all included with this property, as well as a welcome pack to help you settle in.

Step outside in to the heart of Charlestown, take a short stroll to the harbour or enjoy the pub, café or restaurant within short and easy walking distance.

Lovely little cottage, towels & bath robes provided, hamper on arrival was lovely surprise and located in great little Cornish seaside village. Lovely walks, plenty of places to eat and drink. Cottage is on corner of very busy road junction which is also on a bus route so fairly constant traffic and can be a little noisy at times. Would visit againRead more. Hide

Enjoyed the cottage overall. We did have some issues with ants getting in under the front door and crawling up the kitchen counters, but there was some ant spray under the sink which stopped them coming back for the most part. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The bathroom got very hot due to the heated towel rail, so we needed to keep this wiRead morendow open in the day. There was some mould in the corner of the bathroom ceiling also. Both the lounge furniture & bed were comfortable. Hide

Lovely little cottage in a great location. The welcome pack was unexpected but well received by us. Because it was Easter weekend onstreet parking was virtually impossible but we parked in the Rashleigh Arms car park across the road at 6 a day (2 back if you eat/drink in the pub) - all in all we had a lovely stay exploring beaches & places we'd notRead more visited before Hide
