Whatever the occasion or time of year, this converted property is ideally located to explore a wealth of natural beauty. Walkers and ramblers will find many scenic walks locally or perhaps by bicycle tour to some of the quaint villages which can be found in the area. Just a few miles away is Suffolk’s Heritage Coast, home of renowned reserve RSPB Minsmere. A thirty minute drive will take you to Aldeburgh, which high street boasts a wide selection of independent boutiques, eateries, art galleries and a cinema or why not try award winning fish and chips on the promenade lined by pretty pastel-coloured 19th century villas. A little further afield and you can visit the historic city of Bury St Edmunds which is great for sightseeing having the cathedral, museum, and is the perfect place for some retail therapy.

This is an open-plan studio apartment with its own private entrance into the lounge and bedroom area. There is a king-sized bedroom and the lounge area has a sofa and TV should you wish to watch a movie or catch up on the news before heading out for the day. The kitchen area is well-equipped and has a oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. There is a table and chairs for two guests should you wish to dine in. There is a separate shower room and WC and the apartment benefits from plenty of storage and a dressing table.

There is a rear enclosed courtyard with table and chairs guests can use should you wish soak up the sun with a drink in hand. To the front of the property is car parking for one vehicle.

Lovely cottage. Warm and welcoming. Tastefully decorated for Christmas without being overwhelming. The welcome pack was excellent and location good. Easy to find and great for visiting coastal locations.

A good base for walking and cycling in the area, A lovely welcome pack of goodies was much appreciated. WiFi connectivity was poor making researching local activities and some communication a little frustrating.

Well equipped studio with plenty of space for two. Good amount of storage for clothing , two seater settee and a small television which perhaps could do with updating and internet access which is hit and miss. Daisys by the Sea is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a quiet break away. Situated at the tip of the Deben peninsula, the sea and/or river is only a 20 minute walk /5 minute drive away. We enjoyed visiting Bawdsey Quay - great little beach on the river side + fab cafe. Its also 10 mins to Sutton Hoo. The cottage is well furnished and decorated. There is a good selection of kitchen equipment, condiments and cleaning materials, and a great welcome pack was provided. There is private parking. A good location and easy to get to. The accomodation was as described. The 'welcome pack' and other goods available were much appreciated. The owners are nearby in the local village shop that was well stocked. They were friendly and helpful. A good 'spot' for exploring the area. 'Daisy's by the Sea' is perhaps a little misleading as not as near to Read morethe sea as we expected. Neverthless, it was a good location and lots of walks nearby (one to Shingle St). Hide

A great little place to stay well equipped next to the owners shop which is good to top up supplies and newspapers. The most comfortable bed you will ever find !! Just a short drive down to Bawdsey and the estuary of the River Deben with a small ferry across to Felixstowe beaches. Definitely want to visit again.
