An attractively terraced cottage situated on a quiet lane within the Ribble Valley which is within easy walking distance to the village of Mellor and easy driving distance to some of the areas renowned places of interest including the Lake District and Blackpool.

Situated within easy walking distance of the village of Mellor, this delightful cottage is perfectly placed to visit some of the most well-known places in Lancashire. Mellor itself is offers a traditional village pub, local shop, church and library. Positioned in the timeless landscape of rural Lancashire, the area is relatively undiscovered but is fast becoming known for its culinary delights with range of popular eateries and gastro pubs nearby. For a cultural experience, explore the two historic market towns of Clitheroe and Longridge, brimming with electric boutiques, fine restaurants and historic treasures. For the adventurous, walk part of the 70 mile Ribble Way, taking in the magnificent unspoilt views. Other local places of interest include Clitheroe Castle, Bowland Wild Boar Park and Browsholme Hall. Further afield, trips to Blackpool, the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales are a must.

Step into the property and you will be welcomed into the kitchen, make yourself a cuppa before starting your holiday. The kitchen is modern and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Moving through the property, you will find yourself in the lounge with comfy sofas to curl up into whilst you watch your favourite film in front of the fire. After a long day of exploring the local area, the stairs will lead you to the first floor where you can find the bedrooms. The first bedroom is a restful double bedroom with fantastic views across the hills. The second bedroom is a spacious twin bedroom. Also on the first floor is the bathroom which benefits from a shower over the bath and WC.

At the front of the cottage, you will find the patio area with garden furniture which is a great place to enjoy your breakfast, a light lunch or lazy summer evening whilst admiring the amazing views.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very comfortable place to stay, well equipped. Location is very high on hills behind Blackburn, so need to be aware for walking that walking shoes/boots recommended and be prepared to cope with hills. Location ideal for exploring Forest of Bowland, beautiful scenery and views from the cottage, also on edge of Preston for town amenities if needed. RRead moreailway station down the hill at Ramsgreave and local shops, take aways. Cottage owners next door, very helpful, made us very welcome. Terri & Will Hide

Dogs welcome but not in the front garden, the back garden or upstairs in the cottage.

Issues with cleanliness on arrival which were dealt with swiftly by the owner, a lovely friendly couple and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Cottage is advertised as dog friendly but there is no mention in the description that dogs are not allowed upstairs or on furniture. You need to take your dog out onto the lane as they are not alRead morelowed to use the paved area immediately outside your cottage. Boiler in twin room a nuisance as it serves owners cottage also as it is very noisy. Hide
