This charming getaway is nestled in a peaceful position, in the heart of the beautiful village of St Monans and benefits from spectacular uninterrupted views out to sea and over the harbour.

Nestled in peaceful private position, enjoying splendid uninterrupted views over the harbour.  Situated in the historic picturesque fishing village of St Monans, in the East Neuk of Fife. The village boasts restaurants, quirky shops, local friendly pubs, beach and a pretty little harbour. The area offers excellent walking, cycling and mountain biking with the Fife Coastal Path that passes through the village too. Water sports enthusiasts will be delighted with Ellie water sports close at hand and fishermen are well catered for with sea and river fishing close by. Within easy reach of St Andrews, the home of golf and the cities of Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth, with their excellent leisure and shopping facilities, making this all a fantastic base for your holiday.

This second floor apartment is accessed via stairs and offers one cosy double bedroom, an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with TV and DVD and spectacular views across the sea and harbour. The kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.  There is a separate utility room with washing machine.  The bathroom has shower over bath and WC.

Although there is no garden, the beach is within walking distance and the large window in the lounge is an ideal spot to cosy up with a glass of wine to watch the  world go by and the sun go down.

The apartment looks directly over the quaint working harbour in the centre of St Monan's, which has a handful of local shops and cafes and plenty of activity for a spot of people-watching. Take a stroll along the coast path to St Monan's Windmill, around 1 mile away – and if you fancy having a look inside make sure you ask in the post office for the key before you go. For a longer walk, carry on to Anstruther, 3 miles from the house, which has a bigger selection of pubs and restaurants, including a very popular fish and chip shop. There's also a regular bus service from St Monan's that runs into the evenings which is useful for an evening out, or for the return trip after sampling too many local delights. Browse the interesting exhibits at the Scottish Fisheries Museum, or hop on a ferry to the Isle of May across the Firth of Forth to see the friendly seals and characterful puffin colonies. Walk along the coast path in the opposite direction from the apartment to Elie, 3 miles away, and visit Elie Ness lighthouse and Lady Janet Anstruther's Tower on the headland before enjoying a paddle in the pretty sandy bay. Elie is also home to one of Fife's oldest and prettiest links golf courses.

Nice appartment but bed is small dont think it was a double

The property itself is very nice. Clean and all facilities. The area is beautiful but if you like nights out, there is no pub there, however handy for buses to Elie and Anstruther where there is plenty to do.
