The perfect romantic bolthole, this is a fantastic spot for couples who are in search of an intimate retreat in a calm waterfront setting. Grab your fishing gear and take advantage of the property’s five fishing pools, or head into Ludlow (3 miles) to explore its 10th century castle, browse its antique shops and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. Further afield, pull on your hiking boots and explore the beautiful Shropshire Hills (17.5mls).

Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that’s bathed in natural light, clad in rustic wood and adorned in natural fabrics. Head to the sleek kitchen area to whip up a romantic dinner for two and enjoy an intimate meal at the dining table. Open up the lodge’s patio doors so you can listen to birdsong while you dine. After dinner, slip onto a sofa to snuggle in front of the TV. When it’s time for bed, make your way to the cosy double bedroom. In the morning you’ll wake up to glorious waterfront views.

Making the most of the great outdoors is easy at this lodge. Fish in one of the property’s fishing pools or spot wildlife on the lawn. A lovely little cottage, extremely well equipped and very comfortable and cosy for the two of us. Situated on a fishing lake it was nevertheless secluded and private with plenty of lawn, patio and decking space, excellent. Just had a fabulous week at Frog Lodge. Cottage is spotless and has everything you could ever need. View from the comfy king-sized bed is idyllic. The only noise was of the local wildlife, bliss. We had a great time staying at Frog Lodge, it is the most comfortable and clean holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, and perfect for two people. It is well equiped as well. We enjoyed watching the wildlife on the lake in the daytime and the bats at night. Absolute Delight! We had the most wonderful time at Frog Cottage. Tim and Sally have thought of everything and have created a very special place in an idyllic setting. The location is spot on - nicely secluded but only a short drive to Ludlow if you wanted to venture out. Highly recommend!

Fabulous lodge in the style of a log cabin by the side of one of the fishing lakes. Beautifully decorated with everything you might need for a stay away from home. Outdoors is equally comfortable. Its small but theres plenty of room for two.

If you wish for a tranquil location this is the place for you. The sitting out area is wonderful for complete relaxation. The lake has numerous birds, ducks and geese on and around it. I stayed in frog lodge , on arrival it is behind double gates so is private which is nice the lodge is beautiful and the decking is straight onto the fishing pool that was perfect for me , inside the lodge we was welcomed with a nice hamper and even fresh milk in the fridge, the lodge is well equipped and to a very high standard, I can't recommend Read morethis enough if it's for fishing or just relaxing the whole place is just perfect, I will definitely be coming back.
