Located in Golant, a popular village with locals and visitors on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River. Once here immerse yourself in village life, vibrant at times although at an altogether slower pace. Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream. Visit the impressive Restormel Castle and the harbour towns of Fowey and Charlestown. Just a stones’ throw away is Fowey, boasting some retaurants and individual boutiques. Slightly further afield is Charlestown featured in the Poldark series, a perfect place for lunch or relax on the quay. Attractions in the area include The Eden Project, The Shipwreck Centre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Poldark Mine, St Michaels Mount and National Trust properties including nearby Lanhydrock house.

Step into this stunning cottage and you’ll find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with plenty of comfy seating you can sit and relax after a busy day exploring and watch your favourite film on the TV/DVD in front of the wood burner. The dining table is big enough for everyone to enjoy a home cooked meal and the well-equipped kitchen boasts an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Heading up to the first floor where you will find the master king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a twin bedroom, also with en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside guests will love spending those warm summers evening in the large enclosed garden with a gated sun deck offering garden furniture, a BBQ and a private hot tub, along with a grassed lawn area. On site guests can make use of the shared indoor endless pool, sauna, gym, badminton court, table tennis and games room. Although these facilities are for the use of everybody on site you must book your time in them on arrival. For the more sociable families there is a bar on-site cleverly created from an old Silo, with outdoor seating. Open every Friday from March to October for drinks and food, with occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry. There is off-road parking for one car.

We stayed in Gillyflower for our honeymoon, and it was a lovely place to stay. Nice and remote without being too far from everything, the cottage was beautiful and very well equipped The hot tub and log fire really made it extra special

Bijou holiday accommodation. Owners are very nice. It is dog friendly and a lovely, quiet location. We had a great evening at Bar Silo, excellent food courtesy of the Cornish Maid and danced the evening away to a great band. The outside space of decking, garden & hot tub overlooking fields was perfect. We had a fabulous stay at the cottage. Cannot recommend the hosts highly enough. BarSilo was also a great treat on the Friday night with some awesome music, beer and food! We can't wait to go back!

Really great location for exploring this part of Cornwall. The hot tub was a great asset and we made use of this every night ( just a shame it wasn't big enough for all 4 of us). We used the local pub which was lovely and visited the on-site Silo Bar which had a great atmosphere and would highly recommend. Will 100% stay here again. Lovely little house - well stocked kitchen and wonderful comfy lounge, with two small bedrooms below. Wet rooms in the bathrooms made it easy to clean (myself and dog) after beach day (I recommend par sands). We had a brilliant stay at the Gillyflower. Lovely comfy beds and a great hot tub. Lots of great beaches near by we had dogs with us so used Par beach a few times in the warm weather. We enjoyed visits to the Silo bar great food! Lots of lovely places to visit- Padstow. Mevagissey, Fowey, Falmouth, Rockbajd a lovely meal in Golant at the Fisherman'Read mores Arms. A great holiday! A lovely peaceful setting on the outskirts of Fowey. Great wifi signal, facilities within the cottage were good, tasteful decoration, plenty of space for our family of four. We had everything thing we could need. We really enjoyed Bar Silo and being able to walk/cycle down to the Fisherman's arms, we didn't make the most of the pool or games room as we were so busy packing in all the the things the local area has to offer! Fantastic well equipped cottage and we made use of the washing machine and dishwasher regularly. We did have to buy our own washing and dishwasher capsules but were happy to do so. Owners are on site but not intrusive at all and were very helpful when we asked them about local dog walks. We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Friendly and helpful owners. Comfy beds and pillows. Well equipped property. People with mobility issues might find the two flights of stairs challenging. Mobile reception a bit iffy due to location of property, needed to stand at top of garden for good signal. Overall a good holiday property

Lovely clean and well equipped cottage in beautiful location. Only negatives are could do with extra comfy chair in lounge if 4 people. However on addressing this the owners were quick to provide one. Also hottub was lovely and clean in a good spot,however it is not suitable for 4 people. Would be nice if was full size to accommodate everyone so caRead moren all enjoy together. There is enough space. Also a welcome pack of milk,scones and fizz would be a nice touch.
