This cottage is one of three cottages which nestle within a pleasant spot, allowing you to explore the stunning scenery of the surrounding countryside and of the Jurassic Coast. There are many public footpaths within a short drive, numerous coastal paths and inland bridleways, and many picturesque villages with great pubs where you can enjoy a drink and a good meal. The area is famed for its many beautiful and popular beaches including Chesil Beach which stretches for eighteen miles. There are many attractions which a short drive are just away, including Weymouth with its Sealife Centre, Abbotsbury Swannery, Monkey World, Dinosaur Museum, Lulworth Cove, Lulworth Castle and Durdle Door. In the evenings, relax in the enclosed garden or visit one of the three pubs which are less than a mile away.

Stepping into this delightful single-storey barn conversion, you will find yourself in the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen which has lovely views over the enclosed garden and countryside beyond. The lounge is snug and bright, tastefully furnished and complete with a TV/DVD. Heading over to the kitchen area, there is an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine and microwave. You will find a separate, cosy dining room which is perfect for enjoying leisurely meals with family and friends. Exploring this delightful accommodation further, there are two comfortable bedrooms. Firstly, there is a double room which has an en-suite shower and WC, and there is also a zip-and-link twin which can be made into a super-king upon request at time of booking. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Heading outside via the patio doors from the living area, you can relax and sit back at the end of the day in the pleasant enclosed garden which has a patio area and seating, perfect for al fresco meals and drinks.

Lovely property, very well equipped with some thoughtful touches. Very comfy beds and lovely garden overlooking fields. Downside for us was that there was nowhere to walk the dog from the property. I appreciate there are lots of places to drive to with excellent walks but sometimes you don't want to get the car out again. Overall though a lovely coRead morettage and a delightful few days. Hide

We stayed in Goldfinch and it was beautiful. Lovely garden over looking the fields, we spent our evenings watching the deer graze in the distance. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Really well equipped and super clean. Good to have a garden for the dogs and parking. Good access to the coastal road with lovely views and dog friendly beaches. Only a short drive away to good pubs and shop. I would stay here again.

Really well equipped and easy to use appliances . Very clean & tidy property and good parking . 3 step entrance bit tricky if mobility issues but there are 3 properties and this applies to only one. Beautiful cottage. So comfortable, especially the beds. Equipment is perfect for a holiday. The garden is nice and secure so there was no chance of the dog escaping. Jane is lovely too.

The cottage was clean and well equipped. Beds were comfy and showers excellent. Sitting on the sofas and looking over the fields at the rear was lovely. The owners even arranged the sunshine. Would definitely go back and explore even more of a fabulous county.

This was an excellent holiday cottage . It was clean and very comfortable. We especially liked having reclining settees, and the beds were brilliant. The setting is peaceful with pleasant views over countryside from the lounge window. We will definitely book again for next year.

Cottage was really spotlessly clean and well specked, ideally situated for shopping, pubs and an array of different eating venues. Also really handy for Weymouth town centre 4 miles away and the coastal route to abbotsbury swannery and west bay.

A beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage with lovely views from the garden and importantly, dog friendly. The cottage is a quiet position, but off a busy road.. Jane is helpful and on hand if needed. Just ten minutes into Weymouth, plus places further afield to visit. The Cactus Tree Bistro on Weymouth front do a great breakfast and Portland crab Read moresandwich.. The staff are welcoming and its dog friendly too. Also The Turks Head in Chickerell. The cottage is an ideal location for visiting the south coast either side of Weymouth, which is also where you can take a ferry for a day trip to the Channel Islands. Lulworth Cove (to the east) and Bridport/West Bay (to the west) are good to visit, and Weymouth beach ideal for beach activities. Just one drawback is that it is located off a fairly Read morebusy road, with no footpaths down the sides, so you need to get in the car to go to the pub or to the shops, or to take the dog for a walk.
