Nestled in a peaceful setting within walking distance of the East Haven coastline, with splendid sandy beaches to explore. Only two miles from Carnoustie, famed for its championship golf course. Enjoy an array of water sports including windsurfing, canoeing and sailing in the towns large shallow bay. Within easy reach of the historic town of Arbroath, famed for the Arbroath Smokie, with its splendid abbey, historic harbour, long sandy beaches and stunning sandstone cliffs. The vibrant city of Dundee is close at hand, with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities. The immediate area is perfect for walking, cycling, mountain biking and hiking with wonderful coastal paths, woodland walks, country trails and the magnificent Angus Glens, all within easy reach.

Entering the charming, luxurious, single-storey detached lodge from the garden, step into the light, bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The comfortable lounge area with wood burner, idea for cosy nights in, is also the perfect place to relax and enjoy your favourite TV program or perhaps watch a movie. The bespoke kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and instant boiling water from the tap, so no need to wait for the kettle to boil. Enjoy a meal in the lovely dining area, taking in the splendid views over the front garden. Next you are met with the beautiful, spacious master double bedroom with TV, and wonderful views over the garden and surrounding countryside from the delightful window seat. Completing the accommodation is the stylish shower room with rain shower and WC.

Venturing outside, you will find the fully enclosed front garden with seating area. Ideal for al fresco dining and to enjoy the views over the beautiful countryside, perhaps with a good local ale or a nice glass of wine. There is also an abundance of wildlife and birds that visits the garden. There is ample off-road parking directly in front of the property.

Outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with the activities available near the cottage. The East Haven coastline (0.5 miles) offers scenic coastal walks and long sandy beaches for rock pooling and shoreline strolls. Stroll through the historic fishing village of East Haven admiring the award-winning flower displays and watching the fishermen haul in their catches. Follow the coast path to Carnoustie (3 miles) where you will find more than just golf on offer. Sailing, windsurfing and fishing are all available in the bay or dive into the clear waters for an invigorating swim.

Enjoy the scenic surroundings with a day spent at Monikie Country Park (7.5 miles). Take a leisurely stroll around the two former reservoirs or wander through the beautiful woodland and parkland. Hire a rowboat for a relaxing trip across the water or for something more active, why not try kayaking or dinghy-sailing? Test your head for heights on the High Ropes course or spot wetland birds at Denfind Bird Sanctuary within the park.

Lace up your walking boots for days spent hiking the Angus Glens where you will find heather-clad hills and an abundance of wildlife. Glen Clova (32 miles) is a hillwalker's delight, with routes for all abilities. Find the perfect picnic spot on a ramble to tranquil Loch Brandy or challenge yourself with a hike to the summit of Snub. Further afield, the mountain resort of Glenshee (51 miles) offers year-round activities. During the summer months, walk or mountain bike the rugged terrain and in the winter, spend the day skiing or snowboarding the many slopes and runs.

A delightful, comfortable cottage close to the coast. Well appointed, with an extensive range of modern fittings, including induction hobs and high-pressure shower. Well insulated, heated up quickly with just the wood burner fire.

The lodge is in a perfect location for getting away from it all! The owners have ensured all your home comforts have been met. The late arrival meant we got to the lodge in the dark but found the warm welcome of heating, lights and a vase of flowers and great way to start our break. This was just what we needed. Nice, quiet but with easy access to major roads. The owners are easy to contact if needed but not intrusive if that is what you like. Beautifully decorated, clean, warm and welcoming lodge.It felt like a home from home. Even the dog was welcomed with treats and towels. Situated in a perfect location only a short drive from surrounding towns. Plenty beaches to visit - we recommend Lunan Bay. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for the dog. Arrived on the Saturday and there was prosecco,strawberries, flowers,butter , milk and selection of biscuits and outcakes.Cottage was of a very high standard and very friendly owners.Area around lovely, plenty beaches and Lunan Bay a must visit.Plenty info in cottage of places to visit.Would highly reccomend to family and friends.
