Delightful detached property situated in a pretty North Devonshire village, just a few miles north of the town of Torrington, with its range of facilities.

This property is situated in the village of Weare Giffard, with the its popular pub, The Cyder Presse, which serves home cooked food and specialises in locally produced cider. The Tarka Trail, a 32-mile long traffic-free cycling and walking trail, is just a short walk from the property, offering walks for all abilities. To the north of the property, the attractive harbour towns of Bideford and Appledore are popular with visitors thanks to their pretty cobbled streets lined with fishermen’s cottages and independent shops. Both towns offer boat trips from their harbours, including a wonderful 2-hour trip from Bideford or Ilfracombe to Lundy, a ruggedly beautiful 3-mile long island, with ancient remains giving visitors a glimpse of the island’s rich 4000-year history.

Entering this property, guests come to the hallway, with handy boot storage. Wooden stairs lead from here to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor, a light and welcoming space, with a comfortable sofa, dining table, TV/DVD. The kitchen area occupies its own corner at the top of the stairs, and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge. The bedroom is also located on the first floor: a spacious double room with a huge full-height window offering countryside views over the patio and towards the river. There is a shower room on the ground floor with shower cubicle and WC.

Outside, there is a pleasant patio directly outside the property, which makes a wonderful place for guests to relax with a drink and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Guests are also able to access the adjacent paddocks shared with the owners'. There is a storage area for bicycles and ample off-road parking provided.

Andy and mandy were very welcoming and gave us good information about the area and recommended places to visit .We visited all the locations.We had everything we needed in the accomodation. It was like home from home. Very comfortable. We will be revisiting .

This property is superb, it has everything we could have wanted for our 6 day stay. The location is ideal for all North Devon's many attractions and Mandy and Andy were excellent hosts.
