A scenic 2-mile walk will bring you to the port of Leith, where you can discover some royal maritime history onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, and explore the rooms where the queen and her family stayed and entertained before the yacht was retired.

In the city of Edinburgh itself, there's so much to do that you'll need to come back again and again to enjoy it all. Delight in a picnic in Queen Street Gardens, take a ghost tour around the most haunted spots of the city, head up to Edinburgh Castle and hear the famous canon go off at lunchtime, or go for an art crawl. There are many wonderful homes of contemporary and historical art across town, including the Scottish National Gallery. Or, for more fresh air pursuits, head out of town to discover the surrounding wildlife and countryside and the wealth of golf courses around.

The apartment is in a wonderful place in Edinburgh. It's possible to walk down onto Princes Street in about 10 minutes. The parking is excellent, off the road. It meant that we were able to park up and then not use the car for the whole week. We used the public transport, which is excellent. 4 for a day ticket meant we were able to travel all over Read morethe city easily without worrying about the car. We would heartily recommend this apartment. Hide

Absolutely perfect in every way and highly recommended.his is the best equipped property I have ever stayed in. Every little thing has been thought of and supplied. The location is superb just across Leith Walk from the famous Valvona and Crolla, the comfort level is high and I can understand why visitors return. Magda has the place spoRead moretless and was so kind and helpful when I managed to lose all TV channels by mistake.

Very well equipped flat which is a short walk to Princes Street. There's a lot of choice for places to eat and drink nearby. We were met at the flat by Madga, who could not have been more helpful with any queries we had. In fact she was in the area as she saw that our flight had got in early so we didn't have to wait long to get into the flat.
