Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept soundly. The wood burner was very welcome as it was quite a cold weekend. The cottage was lovely and the welcome pack very nice to have. It is very quiet and during the time we were there in November very, very dark. The cottage was easy to find and exactly as described and pictured. Hotspur cottage is a lovely, well appointed cottage in beautiful countryside. The fields next to the cottage have hares. The walk around Fontburn reservoir is recommended though is rather difficult underfoot.
