Prior book your summer trip on the Jacobite steam train service to Mallaig, crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct made famous by the Harry Potter films. With the Silver Sands of Morar, the footpath to the summit of Ben Nevis, Glencoe, the Great Glen and Loch Ness all within a short drive, this a perfect spot for exploring the West Highlands.

Stepping into this lovely detached modern apartment the stairs take you to the first floor living accommodation with a comfy double bedroom and a shower room with WC. Leading through you will find the spacious open plan Lounge/Kitchen/Diner, cook up an evening meal in the stylish kitchen, fully equipped with oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. Dining area with table and chairs for two. Relax in the tastefully decorated lounge to watch Sky TV or DVD, there is also a CD/radio player.

Stepping outside from the lounge patio door onto the decked balcony with table and seating for alfresco dining to enjoy the breath-taking views. There is ample off-street parking beside the property.

If you can tear yourselves away from the balcony views, there's much to explore in this stunning area. Firstly, the rural location of the apartment means that there is an abundance of countryside walking trails and cycle rides to enjoy. And there are some mesmerising sights along the 'Road to the Isles,' a scenic way that runs between the loch and woodland. There's even a Jacobite steam train that whistles by, which you can take to Mallaig, via the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which you might recognize from the Harry Potter films.

When you've explored your breathtaking local environment, you could head to the vibrant town of Fort William. Known as the gateway to Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK, it's also a wonderful place to explore, with its traditional and contemporary eateries serving hearty Scottish food.

Sit and enjoy a coffee by the loch in view of the mountain range or seek out some local history by visiting the Old Fort or the West Highlands Museum. The centre of town is just a scenic 6-mile drive away. If you're feeling adventurous, get your hiking boots on and bag yourself the Munro to end all Munros, Ben Nevis.

We had a very nice week here. It was one of the nicest places weve ever stayed in, there was literally everything you could possibly need and more. The view from the balcony was stunning, even though we only managed to get out there twice due to drizzle! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. you will not be disappointed.

Lovely homely, well equipped apartment with excellent helpful hosts. Wouldve been great to sit on the balcony overlooking the loch, enjoying a drink and watching the sun go down but unfortunately the weather was not kind to us. In spite of the terrible rain we enjoyed a fantastic relaxing week. Would definitely consider returning.

A beautiful location overlooking the loche. Has everything you need even down to Elastoplast! We loved having the balcony to sit on in the evening, or to check the weather in the morning.

This hideaway is a hidden gem, that overlooks the most beautiful Loch. As soon as we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy our stay here. The cleanliness was of the highest standard. Everything was provided to ensure a comfortable stay. Including a 50th birthday gift from the owners - Thank you! A well equipped comfortable modern cottage with fantastic views. Ideal location for exploring the area. Approx 6 miles out of Fort William, and getting there is best done by car as no footpaths along the main road directly outside the property. Buses probably run past, but we didn't use them. Very friendly owners live next door if you have any probRead morelems - we didn't. We would definitely book this cottage again if we are visiting the area. Hide

Great property. Perfect location for seeing the area. Everything is thought of for your stay. Bed could have been more comfortable but would probably suit a lot of people who like a very firm mattress. Owners are really friendly and helpful. The view is fantastic from the balcony.

We loved the Jacobite Hideaway with it's gorgeous view of the loch and the outside balcony. It is very comfortable and equiped with everything you need,and more. It is in a quiet location, even though on a main road,and easy to get into Fort William.A handy hallway downstairs for coats etc. Really recommend it.
