Explore the Machar’s peninsula with pre-historic Bronze and Iron Age sites, a beautiful, scenic area. Enjoy gin and whisky distilleries in the area and the award-winning Five Kingdoms microbrewery. Wigtown (14 miles) with its excellent range of eateries, bespoke shops, and annual book festival is also well worth a visit.
