This cosy detached bungalow is situated less than 100 yards from the banks of the River Teifi, on the fringes of the charming village of St Dogmaels, deep in the Pembrokeshire countryside.

The picturesque village of St Dogmaels allows you to step into the past, with its ancient abbey ruins and heritage centre, working water mill, riverside inns and weekly farmers market, all within walking distance of the property. Just a mile away is the beautiful sandy beach at Poppit Sands, famous for its rock pools and sand dunes. The slipway and pontoon, which is great for crabbing, and the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are just fifty yards away. You will also be within walking distance of both the town and castle of Cardigan, and a short drive from the Preselli Mountains. Locally you can visit Cilgerran Castle, or the Welsh Wildlife Centre, which are just a short drive away.
 

On entering this delightful detached holiday cottage you will find yourself in the light and attractive lounge/kitchen/diner. The tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished lounge is a perfect space to relax in, complete with TV, DVD and flame effect electric fire. There’s an ideally situated dining area, and you will find the bright and airy kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need including electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. Exploring this charming accommodation further, you will find a cosy and spacious double bedroom. There is also a bathroom which is complete with shower over the bath and WC.
 

Heading outside, you will find a lovely split-level enclosed Mediterranean style rear garden. With paving, seating and BBQ, this is an ideal spot for admiring the views over the gorse-strewn hills. There is off-road parking available for two cars and a boat if requested at time of booking.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Good position would be great in warmer weather rather than freezing wet winter. Nicely decorated especially appreciated the Christmas touches. Very welcoming. Town five minutes away. Estuary with boats at the bottom of the road and nearby beaches lovely. Hills and lovely views.

Lovely,well equipped and clean cottage in a nice setting on the river. Walking distance to pubs and shop. On bus route to nearby villages and towns on the coastal path. Good location.

A small but clean and well - equipped cottage set in a small estate in St Dogmaels. Just a few metres walk from lovely views over the estuary, and not much further from the excellent Ferry Inn. Other pubs and restaurants, the busy town of Cardigan, and the beach at Poppit Sands within a mile or two.

Small and compact but is ample for a couple and dog as we were. Location ideal for walks and great beaches. Short walking distance to Ferry inn pub which was so good we had our evening meals almost every evening. Easy driving in all directions but beware the blind T junction just before the bridge into Cardigan. If you love sandy beaches this is a Read moregreat location. A lovely, clean and well located cottage meant we had a stress free and relaxing holiday. The locals were extremely friendly and the area perfect for dog walking. We were blessed with 3 pubs, a fish and chip shop and a local store for basic supplies, so this meant no real travelling. The location of this cottage is within 3 minutes walk of the estuary and 5 mins to nearest pub/restaurant.. 2 miles to poppit sands and dogs allowed during off season.. cottage well equiped, stylish and cosy.. owners are very hands on should you need anything.. would recommend

The cottage was just right for us. It's located about a mile and a half from the very lovely Poppot Sands where there is an excellent cafe. There is a great pub for food within a few yards of The Moorings which is dog-friendly and with fine river views.
