We really enjoyed our stay and were impressed by the standard of cleanliness. The cottage is full of light and in a convenient location to visit the surrounding area. It is close to the railway but this didn't bother us at all, including our 7 and 11 years old. The owners kindly left us a bottle of sparkling in the fridge which was a really nice geRead moresture. The cottage backed onto the East Coast Mainline with over 100 fast trains thundering past. Not mentioned! They were so close the bedroom doors blew open. In addition the twin room had no natural light as the windows opened onto the wall on which the railway line ran so very dark and noisy. Brilliant little cottage very clean and extreamly well equipped for the size. The log burner is amazing and you even have Netflix if you want a little down time. Only 5 min drive to the beach. Although the railway is right next to it. We enjoyed that about it had a giggle when one went flying past.

Lovely decor & recently refurbed cottage. Slightly disappointed as we were led to believe it was closer to the lovely Northumberland beaches than it actually was. The main criticism is that the fuse box & boiler are in the adjoining cottage! Beautiful cottage, very comfy, nice deco, great location. The trains mentioned by others are not a big deal - they are only noisy for a short time (few seconds) when a train passes, and it didn't bother us.
