This property is located to the east of Eastbourne town centre, within the town’s Sovereign Harbour development. The seafront is just a few moments away, with the wide shingle beach which stretches all the way up to the town’s main beach, some two miles along the esplanade. Sovereign Harbour is a popular leisure complex offering a number of restaurants, bars, and a cinema, making it an excellent choice for those who like to eat out whilst on holiday. In the main town centre, visitors will find a large choice of shops, as well as the town’s Victorian harbour which was painstakingly restored after a fire in 2014. Other attractions nearby include the South Downs, Beachy Head, and a lifeboat museum.

A lift brings guests up to the front door of this third-floor apartment, where guests will find the comfortable lounge/diner: a delightfully light-filled space, thanks to the large windows and patio doors which lead out to the balcony. The spectacular views to the sea can be enjoyed from the sofa, armchairs, and pull-out dining table, as can the TV/DVD and CD player. The separate kitchen, though modest in size, is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. The property has two bedrooms, the first of which is a double room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with a separate shower cubicle and WC. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a pleasant twin room. The spacious main bathroom offers a bath, sink and WC.

Two sets of patio doors in the lounge open onto a spacious wraparound balcony, which offers garden furniture and offers unobstructed sea views. There is unrestricted roadside parking near the property, as well as some visitor spaces within the complex which are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Apartment was well situated with a lovely view from the balcony. Unfortunately it is need of some improvements as there was no welcome pack, no blind in the second bedroom, and a number of kitchen utensils had the remains of the previous tenants meals.

I have stayed in a number of cottages but this was the first one with no welcome pack - some milk would have been appreciated especially arriving after 4 on a Sunday and on a bank holiday weekend. Or, if that is too much to ask, then at least a map of the local area showing where the shops are located - the Coop seemed to have the better opening hoRead moreurs. This cottage has lots of potential. While the view is fabulous, the carpets are dirty, the beds & sofas very uncomfortable, the YouView not working and lights are out in every room bar the ensuite. With just a bit more care this could be an excellent holiday apartment. The apartment is near the harbour which is lovely for walks in the evening. Lovely flat, nice flat walk along the seafront to Eastbourne town (about 2 miles) but restaurants also nearby. Such a quiet location to stay in. Perfect sea view from the balcony.

Bath not able to use plug too big . - Bed mattresses and pillows need changing . Drains need cleaning with bleach due to smell in the en suite and main bathroom when door has been shut . Dust on the lamp shade and picture frames . Dust around the skirting board with tea stains by the main bathroom . Windows needed cleaning . Property not cleaned on arrival. Beds very uncomfortable. Blind in bedroom broken and fell off when I touched it. Repaired, but unable to use it as no winding mechanism plus stuck up with filler so didn't trust it not to fall off again. Chair on balcony broken. Not removed/repaired despite me reading a review from ages ago that mentioned it. InformRead moreation folder out of date (badly). Agents very good, sorted problems but they shouldn't have arisen.
