The East Hill funicular railway takes you up to the spectacular views from Hastings County Park, and a visit to Smugglers Adventure gives a flavour of Hastings past.
The property’s front door opens into a stylish and well-equipped kitchen/dinner. An electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and a washing machine provide everything you will need to enjoy your stay here. A shaker peg rail and bench, offer ideal storage for coats and bags. Follow the original narrow stone stairs down to the former cellar, now converted into cosy a snug with underfloor heating. The futon day bed can sleep an additional guest if required. Back up to the kitchen/diner, a panelled turned wooden stairwell leads upstairs and into the lounge, where you will find a comfortable sofa and woodburner, perfect to snug in after a day on the beach. Open stairs take you up another floor to the bedroom and shower room. The double bedroom is cosy and inviting, and features views out to sea, while the shower room offers a walk-in shower, hand basin and WC.
A parking permit can be bought from the Tourist Information Centre (a few minutes' walk away) for £30 per week, allowing use of all three main car parks on the seafront; however, you can unload luggage from your car directly outside the property. Application for a weekly ticket can be done in advance on line, and then the ticket collected in person from the Tourist Information Centre. Details via Hastings Borough Council website.
