Framlingham Castle, Saxtead Windmill, Thornham Walks and the Museum of East Anglian Life are all within 10 miles, while a visit to the historic county town of Ipswich requires just a 15-minute drive. Further afield lies Suffolk’s Heritage Coast – RSPB Minsmere, Orford Ness, Snape Maltings Shops and Concert Hall, and the sandy beaches of Walberswick and Southwold can be found around 20 miles away. Finally, Stonham Barns Leisure and Retail complex based on the outskirts of the village with a 9 hole golf course offering pay and play for all those who enjoy a bit of golf and Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, small village shop and Post Office.

A lovely cottage with good parking. Mr Alan Wright gave me fantastic directions and hence it was very easy to find. It is well located on one of the main routes but the traffic is never heavy so didn't affect my stay. There is a lovely garden to sit in, plenty of space in the cottage plus a log burner which wasn't used as we were enjoying a heatwavRead moree at the time. I very enjoyable break away and the owner, Ian, was extremely helpful and easily available if required. Hide

We had a very good time in our fortnight at Orchard Hideaway. The owners are very attentive and kind and the kitchen is extremely fitted. There is also a delightful secluded garden only for the guests. Due its central position in the county, Stonham Aspal is the ideal location to visit Suffolk, but also Norfolk and Essex are very easily reachable, Read moreas sandy beaches with dunes. Really enjoyed my week here, perfect spot for visiting all the places in Suffolk on my "to do" list. I loved the property which has real character and the private garden area was perfect for relaxing after a busy day. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in Suffolk.

V well equipped. V friendly and helpful but unobtrusive owner. Excellent base. V comfortable place to stay. Would definitely return and recommend.
