A spacious rural retreat in a sleepy village, located within the gorgeous Nidderdale area, within driving distance of the cosmopolitan Harrogate, offering a best of both worlds getaway to the Dales.

Set within the picture-perfect rolling green hills of Summerbridge in Nidderdale, this apartment offers a peaceful getaway to the Yorkshire Dales.  This is a fantastic area for enjoying glorious walks and bike rides, with bike hire and bike tours available locally.  Nidderdale is the perfect spot for a tranquil retreat, offering an outdoor playground for walkers and cyclists.  The cosmopolitan town of Harrogate, home to a number of attractions, shops, eateries and pubs, sits just a short drive away, offering the perfect blend of countryside and city if you wish to venture that way. Be sure to check out the Turkish Baths, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and the Royal Pump Room in Harrogate for some sightseeing to remember.

Head through the front door into the hallway, and into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area, with comfy seating,  smart TV and a wood burner, is the perfect spot to relax with some quiet time after a long day so you can cosy up on the sofas with something good on the TV. Heading through to the kitchen area, prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, 'Nespresso Vertuo' coffee machine and microwave. The dining area seats four, ideal for catching up with friends or family nearby. Heading upstairs to the first floor, is the sleeping accommodation. The master bedroom is a large double bedroom with large picture windows looking towards the owners’ woodland. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Venturing outside to the garden, you will find a seating area perfect for dining alfresco, and 29 acres of the owners’ woodland to explore, ideal for dog walking. There is off-road parking for one car directly outside the property and additional parking available behind the property.

Access to the private woodland for safe, livestock-free walkies is a definite highlight of this cottage for dog-owners. Were runners/hikers and the location was perfect with The Nidderdale Way in easy reach. Weve stayed in better equipped/cosier places, however we were perfectly happy & comfortable here for our stay. The property was lovely, had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views and a very pretty and friendly village and surrounding areas. Great places to visit all within reach. Only thing missing was a local pub. The closest one in Dacre didn't do food this week 11th-18th Aug!!

Property well furnished and comfortable. It was in a good location although set right on the roadside which was very busy at certain times of the day. Good, well equiped place to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Close to the impressive Brinham Rocks. Unfortunately the pub in Summerbridge is closed. Taller people like me have to mind there heads upstairs and might have problems using the shower properly. Beside thid, we fully recommend The Owls Retreat.

Totally lived up to expectations. Had fabulous time. Woods were great for dog walk and cottage location excellent for getting out and about. Very quiet and tranquil. Would highly recommend.

The property was really nice, modern ,airy & the double picture size windows in the living room was brilliant for watching the wildlife. Likewise the bedroom was very large bright & airy. A very pleasant cottage, feels spacious with good facilities enjoyed waking up to the birds with view from the bedroom onto the woodland garden. Very good pub for food,The Royal Oak was about a mile away and the local shop was friendly and had all the necessities
